    Garage/Shop Reference Library

All my manuals are on a shelf next to my bench. As for a way to display a manual, I found a cookbook holder that is mounted under the shelf over my bench. The holder folds up under the shelf out of the way when not in use. The holder came from Builders Square, long gone here in Indiana, but I...

    Free Parking Debate

Like the others, I'd miss Free Parking. It has its uses and was a resource for me more than once when I had a shop quandary (i.e. hydraulic problem or timing for a 302) that I couldn't figure out, but knew someone here would have the answer. Where else would you put a question like that? I also...

    Ratcheting Crimping Pliers

I'll second (okay 3rd) that. I did several wiring jobs over the summer with these. I also used Irwin's adjustable strippers (see photo) with good luck.

Goodfellow Here's what I have for timing guns. #1 & 2 are labeled Sun #3 is a mystery, but it was made in Indy. I did not cut the cord off! If one works for what you want let me know. If you'll cover shipping you can have it.

Bosch Impactor on clearance for $99

Used mine today to mount panels back on the fire truck. I drove over 100 1/4-20 nuts. I just let it run until the socket quit moving and did not break the bolt, the 3/8 air ratchet snapped several (okay, the person running it did not stop when they should have :wtf:) bolts when it was used...

    Driveway bridge ??

I have a bridge made with I-beams and 2" thick oak planks. The bridge has handled anything I have driven across it (remember I collect fire trucks). As mentioned the semi flatbed is a good idea and have seen a couple in use, but you are limited by width. Most commercial drivers will not cross...

    Riding Mowers

I bought a Gravely ZT last Spring for my 2 acres and love it! It did cut my mowing time down to nearly half. Gravely is part of Ariens now and has become their "residential line" of mowers. Watch for sales in the Spring and deals like no payments for X number of days.
