    Wide garage door lift handles?

When you are mentioning "pitch" are you referring to the center to center distance of the bolt holes or actual thread pitch of a threaded hole in the handle? These days everything is made cheap, priced somewhat reasonable till you have to get it shipped. Most of the handles I have found have a...

    3/4 plywood to metal transition

What is the thickness of the metal? Flat sheet, formed or corrugated? A "Z" trim would allow for you to shoot the transition with an air hose or vacuum and not collect dirt and junk.

Need to hang tire rack, but stud is not in the location

Ya may be able to trim the spring if using in the 13/16 deep strut. If you are not going to assemble and disassemble multiple times you may be able to just cut the whole spring off and hold the nut by hand. They made the nuts with springs for the deeper strut.

Need to hang tire rack, but stud is not in the location

You have a pic of the spring nuts? If they are the same as what I have used in the past, the only issue is that they just do not slide down the inside of the track as easy. Still can place in general area, compress the spring to get under the edges and then twist, but if you have to then...

Need to hang tire rack, but stud is not in the location

I am thinking that the industry has gone away with this type of nylon strut nut and switched to the blue cone style as I sliced my finger pretty good on the wings that have a nice blade edge to them. Or maybe I was just impatient and inexperienced with them.

    Lets see your workbench

The tall gray cabinet "library doors" are part of the LEVRACK system. They slide left to right on a track system hung from the upper cross beams. And yes, a very good option if you have the room!!

    Lets see your workbench

I have an all oak work bench that I had made back in the mid 90's for a high school woods class. It is too nice to have in the garage so I have been letting the wife use it as a craft work station. The top was made from benches taken out of a school locker room and all the screw holes have...

    Keeping Garage Clean

If all the metal work is being done in the third stall would you be able to install a retractable curtain to at least keep that mess in the third stall? If that is possible with your garage layout.

    Garage Door Motor

I know someone that works for a commercial door company that makes doors similar to these and can get you some suggestions and/or ideas. What are the door opening sizes? Door with black tape? Door with tube core?

    Leveling freestanding metal cabinets

Doing it the way you just explained would then allow you to run a cord into one of the cabinets for a battery charger if you have DeWalt/Ryobi/Milwaukee....ect. Looks like there is a punch out in the middle of each back panel?

    Leveling freestanding metal cabinets

I may have missed this while reading through all the posts. Will you be installing the cabinets in the location shown in the pic where they are all together? If so I would to the following. Remove the base trim to be able to set the backs of the cabinets on the footing and flat against the...

Ever find a good use for this?

Are these not the sizes of battery terminal nuts on older vehicles?

All of sudden, my LiftMaster 1/3 garage door opener does not close.

Mine had an issue and turned out to be one of the wires wore out and broke off from the little screw carriage inside the housing that moved to adjust the door travel. Also have had issues with certain times of the day and year with the sun hitting the sensor and not allowing the door to close...

Steevo style (HF roller box --> bench) advice and maybe build

With the holiday shopping around the corner, I imagine that, yes, they would be strict on one per customer. When time was not an issue I would go on different days, time of day or the weekend with a "Limit 1 per coupon" for small stuff to get two or three items.

Costco Feit LED shop lights- $20 ea

Are they the newer style KODA lights with the multi-directional downward LED and side LED lights in them? I bought the older style with just downward LEDs in them. Same brand and price, just have to cycle through the power button on the newer style more, at least on the display model. Also...

What’s the best LED 4’ lights for the money??

Some info might be asked to get a better idea of your requirements for the lights. 1) Do you have an open truss ceiling or is it finished (metal/drywall/other)? 2) Will you want to hardwire each 4' unit or are external daisy chained units ok? 3) Do you prefer flush to the ceiling or one like...

    Using Old Doors for Storage

Unistrut with trolley brackets. I also think this may be a better option if sticking with the man doors. There is a thread labeled, "Show you Unistrut / Superstrut designs" in this Forum. Hope this helps.

    Cleaning out an inherited shop.

Another option for items that may end up in peoples houses for display are the Architectural Salvage shops. Like an antique store but some specialize in dismantling barns and houses for the good items like carved wood, barn boards, warehouse carts for coffee tables or things that just are no...

    metal car shed foundation

I think the gravel will work as long as there is no drainage going under the shed to erode it and if the budget allows, a 12" wire mesh around the perimeter to prevent rodents from making tunnels through the gravel under the shed. Just be sure there is enough floor joist support where the car...
