    walls...your choice, although I do agree that it is more durable to the miscellaneous stud/tool/etc that you loose grip on, and crashes into it. Ceiling no less than 5/8, as 1/2" looks like a ocean after not to long, as it slowly sags between the joists. this is my opinion, and nothing more...

    Yes, that 'magic' wild leg is VERY good at letting the smoke out. I've seen several Canadian equipment suppliers think they got a 120/240 Y, only to find that a third of their equipment lasted only 16ms....heh. Apparently a delta 120/240 doesn't exist to our north.....

    yuck....seen that that before....the 'white conductor' is usually dark brown....and I concur....IF the existing is crappy....don't risk moving it around.

    Finished my garage PC install

    Nice!!! I have occasionally taken the laptop out to the garage for doing those 'Quick lookups', and always been afraid that I was going to do something stupid. This is a nice way of going, 'cuase the worst your going to do is loose a keyboard. I'm going to have to follow your lead. :thumbup:

    I'll raise you with a.....I'm an EE, used to design controls for water and wastewater treatment plants, and now work for the company that manufactures the majority of the controllers used in those plants. (and I know what a Kirk Key interlock is too <Double - smile>)
