    VIse Grip Choices

I have four little Vise Grip locking pliers, the long nose (4LN), regular cure jaw, regular straight jaw, and locking wrench (4LW). My motorcycle tool kit needs one but I cannot decide which one. I have a full set of sockets and wrenches, so the locking Vise Grip wrench seems redundant. I am...

Cannot Find Allen Sockets Set in 1/4 Drive

I am looking for an Allen head socket set, for my 1/4" ratchet. Who makes them? My motorcycle tool kit are 1/4 drive. I carry a 1/4 to 3/8 converter but that makes the height taller and have trouble getting into tight spots. 1/4 drive Allen sockets are also skinnier to get deep into tight spots.

    Ramps Are Tools Right?

I have a set of metal ramps I used for chaning oil in my car. It finally bit the dust when I used it for my F150 pick up. Totaly warped it. I never did liked them because the metal edge bits into my asphalt driveway and leace a deep mark. It is also angled too steep so I have clearance...

Environmental Impact to Hydraulic Floor Jacks

I finally pull the trigger on a Harbor Freight low profile 3 ton floor jack. $70 with a 20% coupon so it is about $60 after tax. I think it is a good deal. I figured if most non-expensive jacks have a **** shoot life span of 2 days to 2 decades, I'll get the lowest price one so it would be...

I purchased a wet/dry diamond cutting disk for my 4" grinder. I will use it to cut cast iron sewer pipe to splice in a section of PVC. The box said it is used for cutting masonry and ceramic. That should be the right disk for the job right? Someone told me it should "go through like butter"...

    Needle Nose Locking Pliers

I need a recommendation on needle nose locking pliers. It seems they all looked crappy. Maybe it was just the fit and finish that looked bad. Maybe it functions fine? Last year I got a very small locking plier that locks to a nut at 3 sides. Works fine. Fit and finish really bad. Lots of...

Harbor Freight Wrench for E-Star Nuts

Does wrench for E-Star nuts and bolts work for regular hex nuts and bolts? The wrench set is E6 x E8, E10 x E12, E14 x E18, E20 x E24. If they do, that means the contact surface is at he face of the nut, not the corner. Sort of like a face drive socket or wrench or spline drive. Why? It is...
