Running wire for 100a sub panel in shop

Ok. I got an electrician to come out and wire the shop portion so far. Inspector is coming 6/4. Electrician told me that the mc cable between the frame and metal siding might not be "supported" according to the inspector. Since it's not supported every 18". Anyone have any ideas since my frame...

I have everything ran. The 2224 ser cable up the wall through rafters back down the wall and then ran under the house. For my grounding in the shop (all steel building (enclosed carport)) I need size 8 copper wire or 6 aluminum. I run that wire from the ground bar in the panel to the 2 ground...

Thanks. For your supports for the wall. What did you use for the horizontal supports? 2x3s then some metal brackets? Thanks. Sorry for the questions. First metal building like mine with similar ideas. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Running wire for 100a sub panel in shop

Ok, small update I ordered some 1/0 1/0 1/0 2 SER cable to run from the underground attachment through the garage and under the house. I'm going to get a 8" or 12" junction box to connect the wires together in using Polaris connectors. Next step is to run the 4th ground wire to the shop and then...

Looks good, I have a 24x30 metal shop too. I like how you insulated the walls and such. How did you wire up your compressor outlet and your welder outlet? I'm at that point in my shop now, getting power to the building. Do you have any problems with moisture?

So could I use the current urd cable in the conduit and then use the SER through the garage and the rest of the way under the house. Or should I 'JUST' use the ser in the garage portion? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Thanks. And I'm certain I can't connect this ser and the current URD conductors couldn't be connected since they are 2 different sizes and ratings. I thought a out doing the main / combo box but if I do that wouldn't I need to 'update' my wiring as in move the main box due to being not code...
