    Black oxide hardware coating

I redid the black oxide a bunch of my suspension hardware on my Camaro 15 years ago, they look horrible now especially considering it's a fair weather vehicle only. Lesson learned.

    Who Remembers Enco?

Loved Enco, I was just getting into the trade in the mid 90's and bought just about all my tooling from them.

Gravity fed media blaster not working with long nozzle attached

With the long nozzle on there you are essentially pressurizing the gun body due to the air's inability to escape out of the long extension quick enough, which as you can imagine, kills any vacuum potential. This is why you feel air out of the suction port. You will need to downsize your air...

    Recommendations for a leaf blower?

Ego gets my vote as well, I bought the LB7654 hand held unit last year and it's really good.

carrying digital calipers makes holes in your pockets

Not the craziest thing I've seen done to a pair of calipers. I used to work in the tool room of a large aerospace manufacturer. We only bought the carbide jaw Mitutoyo's. Once the jaws would get chipped, we would regrind the tips on a diamond wheel by hand. A lot of the guys preferred those...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Yes, I have had 2 fairly new chargers bite the dust.

    Dewalt gyroscopic screwdriver

It's not, it says it ships direct from the manufacture, only they haven't made them for over a year. They were discontinued due to the battery, and them not wanting to support that line of bats anymore. I've had the first gen with the swivel handle for over 8 years and it's one of my favorite...

Tekton is looking for a Tool Expert based in West Michigan

Wow, so much hate for Michigan....lol It's okay, we don't want you thin skinned guys here anyways.;) Sounds like a cool opportunity for the right guy. If the pay was better I'd apply for sure.

Best Non-Marring Sockets for Wheel Lug Nuts?

On my high dollar forged wheels I use a standard thin walled socket with heat shrink applied to the OD. Works great for the two sizes I use. No need for a special set.

mop or squeegee for snow melt in the garage?

Hand drill tapping options? (feat: Fein)

Lol, I guess not. The company I work for is quoting a rather large job for them right now so it rang a bell in my head when you said water heater manufacturer, then I noticed you are from Holland.

Hand drill tapping options? (feat: Fein)

We do a ton of hole tapping on our production floor, 90% of it is done with impact drivers. It's a game changer, just requires a little experience to know what can and cannot be tapped with an impact.

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

As others said, non-issue. I've had my X1C for over a year and half and all my failed prints were self inflicted. **** just works. I work with some major OEM's in the aerospace world and it's awesome to see these billion dollar companies running Bambu's for proto work.

Opinions on Milwaukee 12 volt cordless tools?

I really like all my M12 fuel tools, I reach for them over the M18 stuff most of the time.

    Which blasting media

Aluminum oxide is the best bang for your buck hands down. There are longer lasting abrasives grains but they are more expensive and harder to aquire.

Using construction adhesive to secure automotive wiring to frame?

https://magdaddyusa.com/products/?fwp_product_categories=cable-tie-mounts It doesn't get anymore convenient than this.
