Service upgrade with Square D QO

Has Square D QO gone to plug on neutral load centers only? I am looking for the QO140M200RB, but am not having a lot of luck. Lowe's and HD both say it is discontinued--won't be able to check local suppliers until Monday or Tuesday. Next best thing is the QO142M200PRB I suppose?

Service upgrade with Square D QO

I have a very highly regarded electrician in my town coming to replace a FPE panel and upgrade my service from 125A to 200A. He uses Siemens routinely, but agreed to use Square D if I bought the panel (his wholesaler does not give good prices on SD equipment, and he recommended I buy online)...

    Router suggestions?

Dewalt dw816 kit with fixed and plunge bases or a Triton( I have two of these and am very impressed). I also have two PC routers, but they are not the most useful one and done tool for the average joe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Small portable oiled lube compressor

The Mikita and hitachi compressors are excellent. The dewalt 55151 is unimpressive--water flows into the switch if you forget to drain it and pick it up. Rolair is good, but expensive. The ingersoll twin stack is expensive and nearly identical to the makita. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Tablesaws?

I would look into the jet pro shop hybrid saw. A very highly regarded table saw. Fab yourself a drop down out feed and mount it on the wheeled stand so you can roll it around as you see fit. I have a similar set up, and roll everything out on the driveway to work since my garage is an older 1...

Where to look for a shop vise

Watch CL. We are neighbors, and deals come up every once in a while. I picked up a Craftsman vise made by Rock Island for $40 in the Marigny.

    Snap ring pliers wanted

I have the channellock 927. They work pretty well, though I can't say I have used many other ones.

    Craftsman Ambient Air Filter

two filters. Inner and outer. The outer is a cheap HVAC style, and the inner is more expensive HEPA filter. I have the filter numbers somewhere. They are both expensive if you purchase the specific part numbers, but the guy I bought from cross referenced to cheaper parts that are identical.

    Craftsman Ambient Air Filter

I have one made by delta. Rikon and several others also have the same basic unit--they work great if maintained and run. I have mine on a remote control that starts up when I start my dust collector.

recommended miter saw 200 to 300

You can buy a lot of tool for a little on Craigslist. Up north, winter is also a good time to hit up pawn shops, as building has slowed down and guys let go of tools. I would never buy a miter saw new.

    straighten a vise lead screw?

Let the flaming begin... My drill press angle vise fell off the drill press and stuck the floor. The vise survived without a scratch, except the lead screw has a very slight bend in it. It still runs the full length, but gets a little stiff mid shaft. Any suggestions on straightening it out...

Sometimes buying parts just plain *****.

Also, count those cogs and make sure the length is right. A quick google search suggests you night be looking for a 130-XL-031, which can be had for less than $10 shipped.

Replacement drawer rollers on an old box?

The more I look at it, the more I am thinking the bearing I suggested earlier would be the best bet. Then have someone machine all new shafts that attach with a nut and secure the bearing with a snap ring. Expensive--unless someone on here throws you a bone on the machining--but it presents a...
