Whatever the reason for the crazy prices, it's pretty cool to look at those pictures. I mean some say they were wrecked or last registered in the 70s and 80s. I think it's neat to wonder why they were saved for so long in that condition and where they have been hiding for so long.

Anybody have the ryobi transfer pump. How well does it work? I was thinking about getting one to use to pump water from a rain barrel to a garden.

They are still out there. Picked up the last one at a local store after an employee saw me looking in the overhead. Asked what clearance tool I was searching for. Then she pointed me right to it.

If you are referring to Sears yes they are rebuilds. If you warranty a ratchet they give you a rebuilt one not one off the shelf.

I understand your anger but that hasn't been my experience at my local Sears. When I bring in a ratchet the guy will dig in the box to get me a USA one and then feel the mechanism to see which one feels the best.
