I literally just opened the package and snapped the pic. They seem nice enough. I’ll put them to use as a pry bar as opposed to using a small flat blade screwdriver. I probably should have ordered multiple sets to give away as gifts.

    John Deere wrenches rust removal

I don’t think that I‘d put those wrenches in Evaporust. Just use the aluminum foil trick as above or use a wire wheel to brush the rust off.

Craftsman Premium 3/8 Ratchet Side View Picture #2548

FWIW,mMy advice is to let the buyer return the ratchet at your expense and just refund all of their money. You're never going to win with this buyer.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I took some tools out of the garage and into the laundry room where I changed out the dryer's drum rollers and drive belt. It is a lot quieter now!

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Cleaned the carb and adjusted the valves on my Honda lawnmower. It started up on the first pull which was very satisfying!

    Need new 3 phase compressor

Most 230/460 motors are rated for the nameplate voltage +/- 10%. 230 x 0.9 = 207 240 x 0.9 = 216 So depending on how "strong" the incoming voltage is the motor might work. The trick is making sure that the voltage stays high enough during the in-rush current to not blow the fuse or damage the...

    Need new 3 phase compressor

From experience I can tell you that 200/3/60 is an unusual voltage for an air compressor distributor to keep in stock. I don't know how expensive a VFD is at that size but that would allow you to operate a 230V machine at the lower voltage and give you some other benefits as well. What about a...

Metal cabinet restoration - flap discs?

I think that a flap disc will work, but it will leave scratch marks. A flap disc is not a finish sanding tool. I’d use the flap disc to know off the rust and then sand the cabinet with 220 grit prior to a primer coat. That should prep the surface good enough for a garage cabinet.

I rented a carpet cleaner from HD a couple of years ago when I had a similar situation. The hot water really helped to lift the stains out of the carpet.

About to take the Milwaukee M18 plunge !

I just bought the 12V hammer drill and 1/4" impact driver kit from HD for $199. It included a 3/8" ratchet. I also have an older M18 1/2" drill and Fuel impact wrench. If I had to do it all over again I'd get the 12V tools only. I just remodeled a bathroom using the 12V tools and they didn't...
