What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Yes, 2002. It has been a fun car but the top mechanism is a finicky piece of machinery. Seven motors, two potentiometers and seven microswitches (many of which are no longer available) all controlled by a 21 year old controller make for a lot of chances to fail.

Replacement Tank for Ingersoll Rand 24-Gallon compressor

Any tank will work if you’re willing to do the modifications to the compressor or new tank to get everything installed. I think you’ll find that a new tank is nearly the cost of a new machine once you pay to ship it, paint it and install it.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Last weekend I fixed the top of the C70. One of the micro switches isn’t available any longer so I had to get creative with JB Plastic Weld and some small copper wire.

    Cleaning up Garage Sale finds?

As others have said, clean the tool first. Dawn dish soap works great. I have a small ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight that works very well with a citrus degreaser- I use the Zep version available from Home Depot. You can rinse the degreaser off with water and then put the tool in the oven...

Where have you been all my life tools............

That is a great tool! I bought the Milwaukee version a few years back. It is so much easier and cleaner than using a traditional hole saw. Milwaukee 49-56-0320

1/4" Locking Chrome Extensions - Matco?

I find these Mac Tools locking hand-drive locking extensions to be very useful. I haven't found many places where the handle gets in the way, but keep in mind that I am a DIYer and not a pro. Mac SMEDL3PT

ShopVac for the house? Alternatives for hard floor vacuuming?

I'll put another vote in for the Shark vacuum. It is very well designed and picks up dog fur.

Look for a "first" miter saw recommendation

I’d recommend getting a 10” saw as a minimum. I have the Ryobi slider and it has done everything I’ve ever asked it to do.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Changed the oil pressure sensor on the 2011 GMC Yukon 5.3L. Not too bad of a job. Yes, I know that some people have been successful doing the job with removing the intake, but I wasn‘t able to do so.

High temp Air Dryer Dew Point

Just to be clear, the dryer delivers air at a 38 deg F pressure dew point (PDP). The air leaving the dryer will not be at a temperature of 38F. Why do you think that you need a 38F PDP? Unless you plan on sand blasting and painting in temperatures below 50F then the moisture content of the air...

    Light Duty Belt Sander Recommendations.....?

What about Ryobi? They usually offer a pretty good bang for the buck. I‘d put them above a tool made by Skil. Ryobi belt sander

    Show your new tool arrivals

I have distinct memories of my father stopping at a service station near the house and using their spark plug cleaning machine. That was nearly 50-years ago now.

Polished USA Made Stanley 24mm Wrench

Cripe Distrubuting That's a pretty awful website. Clearly they have made that website with no outside, professional assistance. It is disappointing to hear about the customer service issues.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Those things are way cool! What a great use of an otherwise tough space to use in the garage.
