Sub panel in new exterior shop

3-3-3-5 is USE and indoor is romex of the appropriate size for the circuits. My understanding is that I don’t need conduit for USE if protected by drywall but wanted to verify. What is not clear is any requirements on the rest of the wires being exposed in rafters. Most of which will be...

Can I use Oscillating Multi-Tool to cut tree roots?

Be aware of buried pipes and cables. Axes and shovels amongst other power tools will damage sprinkler system components. Being an irrigation contractor, it’s very profitable LOL! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    What's in TruFuel

Thank you Bob! Nice to see solutions rather than bashing non stop. If one likes packaged fuel, good for you! Buy it if you like it. If you don’t like packaged fuel, don’t buy it! I’m old enough to remember the launch of bottled water......I thought “whointhehell would buy bottled...

    What's in TruFuel

I run pump gas in my two stroke engines with oil added of course. No stabilizers or other additives. I leave fuel in the tank of my chainsaw which gets used 2-3 times a year if that....... it’s over 30 years old. Yes it starts and runs great. My understanding is that the oil is what preserves...

Can I use Oscillating Multi-Tool to cut tree roots?

I think you will be disappointed with the performance for root cutting purposes. Blades will dull quickly when they hit dirt. Carbide tipped sawzall blade is what I use. Sawzall, hackzall or loppers will perform better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What kind of tools have you found in the road??

Brand new Dyson vacuum cleaner. I saw a box and colorful parts all over the road and stopped to take a look. Picked up all the parts and threw them in my truck. I figured there would be something missing or broke. Got it home and everything g was in new condition. Not a scratch or crack. $400...

    Wiring a 30x26 scissor truss 12’ 2x6 wall shed

I agree that it sounds more like a rattle. With a gloved hand carefully probe around while it’s running to see if you can locate it. I had one that did that and it was the shroud around the pulleys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do You Still Use Your Shop Air Compressor?

They all serve their purpose. Battery powered tools are excellent. Sometimes they fall short. Just replaced 6 bearings on my mower deck. Took the 2,000 ft lb impact to pop a bearing with my puller. I did use my milwaukee die grinder to cut the race from the shaft. I like having the air option...

    GFCI Breaker popping

If there are any extension cords or connections exposed to rain they could be the issue. I see it all the time. These work pretty well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Gutter Installation Opinion

Not acceptable IMO. If the installer can’t match the previous work he should say so so you can opt out before having the substandard work done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    AvE: Best Tool Battery

I tend to agree that the Milwaukee battery is among the best. I have had DeWalt and wore out the drill itself on more than one occasion. Work side by side with friends who use other brands and none have matched my Milwaukee Sawzall and drills. I don’t mind the video funny BS. Just provides...
