    Newbie here, with new garage

Looks good. Question - Why not a single door in the front instead of two smaller doors? (Just curious - I have always favored a single double wide door...)

Well... The journey begins: Re-do the interior of my shop.....

Thanks - The wooded location is one of the reasons we chose it. The property is still about 65% wooded with second (third?) growth pine and cedar trees. Keeps it mild in the summer (winters are wet regardess, so...) As to the signs... Wait till you see what my set up will look like when...

Well... The journey begins: Re-do the interior of my shop.....

It's fiberglass with a vinyl barrier on the inside surface. The white you can see on the pics above is that surface. It was installed 'with' the original metal siding as it is sandwiched between the siding and all the internal supports as well. I don't know too many details as the building is...

Well... The journey begins: Re-do the interior of my shop.....

Thanks. I've had it for over 20 years now. Has about 250,000 miles on her. Still the most fun I can have driving even though it isn't as fast as my 740i... No. It's the building in the first pic. That's the one I'm working on. The RV building is just for storage (for now) and will not be...

Well... The journey begins: Re-do the interior of my shop.....

I've been waiting three years to get going on this..... (been more or less lurking on this forum for a few months - I figure I might as well join in full bore.... ) Some details- I've got a house on 5 acres north of Seattle. There's three buildings on the site. I've got a 24' by 24'...

flooring for not so faint at heart

If it is the surface texture of your floor that is not what you wanted it to be - I'd consider polishing it. Take a look HERE for some basics. For a garage, you don't need to go 'all the way' I'd imagine. I know of some auto repair shops that have gone this route in lieu of the epoxy...

is there a market for Garage Stereo?

Cool! I had a case of serious lust for these when they were new. But - $10k for a set of speakers 20 years back just wasn't in the cards (heck - it's not now either - gotta love e-bay and an auction 15 miles from home..... :bounce: ) My wife calls them "R2-D2" speakers. She gave me a bad...

    Lets see your workbench

 Hard to tell details, but.... I made three benches just like that (w/o the steel top) several years back. Literally. The plans were out of Popular Mechanics or something. You could park a car on top of them and they wouldn't even know it. Looks good!

is there a market for Garage Stereo?

I guess I'm in the minority here (nothing new for me either...) I will have a pretty decent stereo system in my shop (25'x25') when I finish with it. What I've got lined up is an old home system that I had 'way back' when I was in college 20 years back. Over the years I upgraded all the...

    Sears online clearance: SK Facom

Thanks for the heads-up. I couldn't get 'in-store' pick up on these FWIW. Don't know if it's my address or somthing. That and I had a heck of a time getting their shopping cart to update itself to include both. It finally took - But -something wasn't working there for a time. Oh well -...

    Peg board hardware advice

Nope. I forget where I got mine - I think out of a catalog about 15 years ago now... Great for what they do. A PITA to get out (I guess that's on purpose... duh.)

is a 19' deep attached garage norm?

I had a 30' deep by 19' wide attached garage in my first home. It was the size of a three car garage but on its end (two cars wide with plenty of room at the far end) We sold that home a couple of years ago- It's OK - Don't feel too sorry for me. My new home has three seperate garages with 6...
