I am very happy to have heat and air in my new shop. Shop is an 18 x 30 x 8 area in a 30 x 54 x 12...

Minimum new garage ceiling height for a lift?

My building is 12'. I was concerned about the lift clearance and the builder designed a special "lift Bay". The bay is 18' across with no truss. They doubled the truss at 18' and used something like 2x8 or 2x10 purlins for roof support. With the 1/12 pitch, I have plenty of clearance for my...

How to find a garage builder?

My Morton building was $32.85/sq ft including the foundation slab. The building was 30' x 54'x 14' tall. They did a really nice job. The quote included 3-10' rollup doors and 1 walk in door. After the slab was complete, it took the Morton crew a week to build. Best to you...

My Dream WorkShop - Epoxy Floor (Pics)

The floor was 1674 sq ft. Cost was $5,500. About $3.29 sq ft. I went with Texas Tough Tops because the product they use is 100% solids. I got quotes all over the place from $2.50 to $4.50. Some were water based and I stayed away from those. Seth and his crew were very professional.

    My Dream Build: 54' x 30' x 12' Hobby Shop

I did look at Muller. They would sell me a building and provide a list of contractors to contact for the foundation and erection. Morton provided a Project Manager and handled all the subs and ordered and scheduled the roll up door installs from a local vendor. A Morton crew did the erection...
