Old air compressor motor replacement or???

Awesome that's great. It's a good pump these never really went higher than 7.5hp. Even tho you could order it as as a ten a ten would be a screamer. If you went 10 or 15hp with would be the next size up t30 which I think is a 15t. Pretty sure the t30 went up to 25 or 30hp pumps before getting...

Old air compressor motor replacement or???

Just run it. Don't rebuild anything I'm sure it never ran long enough or hot enough to wear out. The rings are so fat. We have these things in tire shops running waaaaaay over its duty cycle for years and they still make 175#.

Strange Motor Problem Instantly Trips Breaker When Plugged In

Haha good story. The other week a tech was using the top of a 250hp drive as a shelf and he was missing a 1/2-13 washer on a cooler reinstall. Needless to say we found where it went when we threw the breaker and sent a huge explosion to the back of the compressor room. 25k later drive replaced.

Strange Motor Problem Instantly Trips Breaker When Plugged In

Depends if you're switching neutral or hot. If it's switching hot, I would replace the cord. But they should really check each leg to the case. Before and after the switch.

Sounds like you have a grounded winding. Take a meter and check each lead to the case of the motor.

    Project idea: Mutli-air-compressor air controller

Before the day of comm buses between controllers we used to put these crazy compressor controllers on the wall. They could control up to 4 compressors. It worked good with variable capacity compressors too (modulating inlet or variable displacement air ends)

How come common metric sets only go to 19mm but common sae sets run to 1” which would be 25mm?

15/16 is for a 5/8 bolt. I deal with it every day. Sump cover bolts Sullair TS20. https://boltdepot.com/Fastener-Information/Bolts/US-Bolt-Head-Size?srsltid=AfmBOorkvqXln9HSSvmg9i1L1eCHmmUTnozlV8FcexNXLKKYly_Rlh2c

How come common metric sets only go to 19mm but common sae sets run to 1” which would be 25mm?

I understand that but how can 22 be best selling twice? It has to be two different types or brands of 22 for it to make sense.

How come common metric sets only go to 19mm but common sae sets run to 1” which would be 25mm?

Yea for sure. I don't understand why people keep addressing this. I never said anything about 3/8 drives set should contain 1-1/8 socket lol. All I said was sets that go up to 1" like my Wright 1/2" dr set, it seems pointless to throw in the 1" socket.

    A little air compressor project

Well finally got around to putting on the new bearing. Picked one of the hottest days of the week. The old one was shot. And I've been tripping over these parts for a few weeks now. Used the ol toaster bearing heater and got it hot and slid on first try. Then just re assembly of the *** end. I...

How come common metric sets only go to 19mm but common sae sets run to 1” which would be 25mm?

Exactly. But I was answering the original posted question. So like I said I can't think of why the sets goto 1" and not stop at 15/16.

How come common metric sets only go to 19mm but common sae sets run to 1” which would be 25mm?

It's true I can't even remember the last time I used 1" either. 5/8 bolt is usually 15/16 drive size. 3/4 jumps to 1-1/8.

    New toolbox must haves

Yea like the reason why I want two full length top drawers is because in a course of a day or week rifling through multiple drawers to grab stuff adds up and makes you less efficient. And I don't use a cart. It's why snappy even has boxes of just full length drawers. For a guy working on a hot...

    New toolbox must haves

There's no way I'd ever buy a Chinese toolbox. And not many people have seen a Macsimizer but I think the quality is better than my KRL.
