Question of ABS Versus PVC DWV Use

I vote for PVC. Previous house pool plumbing and UG sprinklers were all ABS. I had to replace all of it due to failure (approx 20 years ago). PVC still going strong.

Am I a Gym, Shop or Cave? Answer: Yes

Removed a couple of appendages that we do not use (leg and hamstring curls) and sent those large seats/stands to the basement. Repurposed those stacks. Gained some room. Eventually, I'd like to cover the entire area with livestock mats. Easier to clean than carpet. Eventually, once the Bug...

Am I a Gym, Shop or Cave? Answer: Yes

My new air compressor finally arrived! Out with the old single stage, oil-less, compressor. Still waiting on some bobbles so I can properly plumb a filter and reg (mounted to the wall). Soon. Anyway, pics of the insulated/heated "working half" of my shop (other side (not shown) is the "cold...

3/8 Short Handle Torque Wrench Rec?

Thanks. Found the model that would work (ws3-060cn), but their website is from 2008 and I'm kind of wondering if still around. Can't find a distributor, stateside, so they may be no more. eBay looks like my only hope, but by the time one rolls around, if ever, I suspect I won't need it...

3/8 Short Handle Torque Wrench Rec?

Thanks Socket. Yes, the digi adapters would be too big. It's miserable tight and then there's the whole range of motion thing. I can't use a deep socket or a short socket with the mini extension. Can't use a short socket by itself due to TW head interference (the one I have anyway). A short...

3/8 Short Handle Torque Wrench Rec?

Thanks. The Utica is inch pounds, so it's range it way too low, but thanks. I would need at least 480 inch pounds. I'm starting to think it doesn't exist and 14" is the shortest I'm going to find. For this particular project, the tightness specs at 40#. I may have to go for "goodnuff" instead.

3/8 Short Handle Torque Wrench Rec?

I need a 3/8 torque wrench for some tight quarters. Hate the idea of having to buy a fifth torque wrench, but seems the best option. I've searched, but not having any luck. Looking for a clicker style (not electronic). Would love to get one with approx the same dimensions of a regular 3/8...

Updated- Ultimate Welding Table (for me).

I picked up a 30x42x5/8 welding table from a junker for only $100 over the weekend. Although it's nearly flat, it just isn't flat enough. I could get by using spacers/shims, but... I was thinking of purchasing a Certiflat table top and just setting it on the table (shimmed, if needed, so it's...

My Big H-Frame Press: Ever See One (Military Field Unit?)?

As stated above, I ended up getting a Symplex 55t cylinder (******* leaks a bit though, even with a new kit, but not worth worrying about (some internal pitting). The hard part was coming up with a 2" cylinder adapter plate. To have one made, would have cost way too much for milling time...

    Mine. Never enough.

The buggy is extremely well made and well thought out. However, I needed narrower front arms. Instead of building them myself (regrettably), I contacted Big Dave Lawson (owner of DD) to build them. As a result, I now feel Desert Dynamics *****. Super long story short, I feel he ripped me off...

    Mine. Never enough.

30x50 Half concrete and half gravel (which is great otherwise I'd never get my boat in there). Only outside shot I could find. Working (and workout) Side Storage side of things (Still haven't finished the Bug resto and this pic is a couple years old now) Old pic (2010). Considering...

    Let's see your toolbox.

Here's one: Here's another: And some more (although only the lower boxes hold tools, the uppers are for kiteboarding or snowboarding/ski gear): (when redoing my mats) I need another chest and upper combo in the shop (can't close the doors half the time).

My Big H-Frame Press: Ever See One (Military Field Unit?)?

Waiting on the rebuild kit for my used Simplex 55 ton cylinder. Figured I'd give it a fresh coat in the interim.

My Big H-Frame Press: Ever See One (Military Field Unit?)?

Well, I just couldn't muster a warm fuzzy for the Tucker setup above. I'm sure it would have been way more than adequate, but still. So to the internet and ebay I went. Going to use an Enerpac 2-speed hand pump and a Simplex (really the same as Enerpac these days (same factory)) 55 ton 6"...
