Is EBay completely worthless or does it just seem that way to me

1099s are not BS.....technically, you should be filing with garage sale income, if there is any....which there likely is not. This is an electronic format and everything gets recorded and reported and there's no way around that. Don't hate eBay, hate the IRS....they're the ones who made the...

Is EBay completely worthless or does it just seem that way to me

Chiming in again because I'm going over some reports. For this month so far, 83 sales totaling $4,600 sold (gross) on eBay, and my total deductions (shipping labels, tax, fees) are 22% on the nose. Shipping labels make up about 1/3 of that and fees make up the remaining 2/3s. Not too bad...

Is EBay completely worthless or does it just seem that way to me

That's the additional money the seller decided to pay eBay to get their listing "promoted" in some fashion or another....so that doesn't really count. I sell on eBay as a business...6 figures last year. I have about 500 listings at any given point. Last year my selling fees and shipping...

Who makes good (and affordable) L-shaped socket wrenches in 1/2" drive?

Sorry to bring back an old thread...but figured I'd comment as to the usefulness of these. I do a lot of assembly and diassembly of parts that use through bolts with nuts on them. I use an impact on the nut and a socket/bit on the bolt head. The threads are often rusty or such so that the...

What's going on in my little Garage....

I sent you a private message...I'm not sure I'd use those 2 existing holes (M8x1.25) to mount the new caliper...the knuckle is not designed for those bosses to carry any real load. With the OEM caliper, the pad bear directly upon those rails that you're gonna cut off....the holes just...

    Craftsman table saw fence repair

I see that you have it fixed, but thought I'd mention for future readers. I bought a craftsman saw years ago with no fence, then found a nice Delta T-2 (I think?) fence NIB through local classifieds. Was a POS. Wouldn't lock down or anything. Turns out there were a couple little tiny...

Any website with a name like that isn't worth clicking on.

My HF 12 Ton Hydraulic Press Modifications

If you have a milling machine...the best thing I did to my press was re-make all the ram pump linkage out of aluminum with polished stainless pins that that fit perfectly in reamed holes, and made a new handle that fits in the "block" with almost no slop. There is so much wasted movement with...

What’s the proper tool for removing C clips on drum brake lever arm?

I usually spin it around so the split is facing the shoe, then select an appropriately sized flat blade screwdriver that doesn't fit between the clip and the shoe...but lands at about a 45 degree angle. Then twist the screwdriver and it will open up the clip to some extent...at which point it...

    Surface Planer for Home Use

I had a Dewalt 735 and had a problem with the height adjustment....As a board was running though, I could watch the handwheel make about a 1/2 turn from one end to the other. Couldn't figure out a way to adjust the friction or lock it in place IIRC, so I sold it.

    SEMA Now *****!

I went to SEMA and AAPEX last year and the year before...The first time I drove out from L.A. in the morning and got to Vegas at about 8:00....Parking was a **** show, and expensive. Harrah's was a shithole. The next year, I hopped on a plane of out Long Beach at 7AM and caught an Uber to...

Die Grinder Cutting Capability? How Good?

Not sure about the electric stuff, but pay attention to the max RPM of whatever wheel you're using. Most pneumatic die grinders are in the 10K RPM range. Most angle grinders are under 5000rpms.

Is a 20 gallon compressor enough for air impacts?

An appropriately sized impact should only need the trigger depressed for a couple seconds for most fasteners. On some occasions, you have to sit their and let it rattle on something for a while, but not most of the time. A 20 gallon compressor works fine on impacts. Air ratchets....you'll...

Old vs New Snap On Line Wrenches

I have multiples of the old style and new style and I prefer the old style. They're longer than the new ones and the handle is not as thinned out and sharp. I use them daily (lots of brake line work).

What is this hole for on the side of these sockets?

You can also use those to get pipe ******* out where you can't get a pipe wrench on 'em....I've stuffed old impact sockets in pipes, then drilled a hole through the pipe and the socket, shoved in a bolt and used an extension/breaker bar. With these, you don't have to screw up a socket
