I have multiples of the old style and new style and I prefer the old style. They're longer than the new ones and the handle is not as thinned out and sharp. I use them daily (lots of brake line work).

You can also use those to get pipe ******* out where you can't get a pipe wrench on 'em....I've stuffed old impact sockets in pipes, then drilled a hole through the pipe and the socket, shoved in a bolt and used an extension/breaker bar. With these, you don't have to screw up a socket
