    From my own experience, 29 is great if you sheet the roof w/ osb or ply. 26 if no sheeting. A lot of builders in north Idaho use 29 with no sheeting and I have seen no problems. Just my 2 cents worth ......

    So many nay Sayers. Stick weld it or use you 180 but preheat, It just a gusset. or use a old ac stick machine 7014 or 6011 Ac /DC use 7018 or 6010. You learn by doing not by taking it to a shop.

    1/8 7018 dcrp at 90 to 110 amps will get the job do, use multiple stringer/single pass welds here a photo or 2 of stick welding a new cutting edge on one of my tractors. used 5/32 7024 @ 180amps single pass on this

    Hello from Mojave Ca.

    Long time lurker, Great form lots of info. will post some of my projects soon. Currently in Mojave Ca. But as soon as it warms up will be headed to our other home in Oldtown Id, to start the barn / shop project.
