Hey Fellas-
I have an opportunity to buy a old SO tach. Question- can this tool be used to measure 4 and 2 stroke engines on lawn equipment or is it limited to 6 and 8 cylinders? I know I can purchase a Chicom special for $10 but don’t wanna go that route.
Thank you very much
Thank you jgromada-
I completely disassembled the tool. Incredibly it looked to have barely been used. I started with 220 grit and hand sanded through 1500. Once I was done hand sanding, I hit it with my 1/3hp baldor. Started with black and finished with white. Once reassembled I applied...
I recently picked up a A4 Porter Cable trim saw- the predecessor of the 314. I got a bit carried away with sanding and polishing. Note the May 1954 date stamp

I checked the oil- it was the consistency of dried peanut butter.
Just picked up this 825 from a nice man in his 70s- who said it was his granddads. Note the receipt stating bushings were replaced in 1964. Came with lube and penetrating oil.
Thanks for the tip on the Diablo. Don’t have anything else to add accept this is recent purchase. It is the predecessor of the 314. Exceptional quality. One day my boys will have it.
Thank you Jimmy- My small amount of research confirms your thoughts as Stahlwille appears to be leader in German made wrenches. The Heycos look interesting as well
Thank you Jimmy-
I’m actually open to both wrench types. I am foremost a hobbyist, but do a lot of auto, tractor and small engine work w my sons. I’m after premium quality, fit and finish and stuff I can heirloom to my boys. Thank you
Well done Dreamer! I bought one from an old aircraft mechanic. Did you have difficulty finding one?
I picked one up awhile back and love it. Tip- those casters have zerk fittings. I removed all four casters, cleaned up and squirted some grease in mine. I can now pull and push the cart with...
JBH- I am appointing you my German tool leader. I have been lusting after the large Wurth bit set. If you have time I would appreciate your thoughts on it
Thanks

Precision bits in 1/4” hex. I have quite a few PB Swiss drivers and must say they are excellent. I’m sure their bits would be equally impressive
