    The making of a table

Riv, also keep the distance from the bit to the center support post as small as you can and you get less deflection when drilling. I had the same press and it was a trooper. Mine was originally pulled from a snow bank. Not quite as clean as yours.

    repurposing a well pressure tank

Ok getting back to the original question - with Halloween around the corner this could still be a garage project. Just from a well pressure vessel. www.instructables.com/id/Propane-Bottle-Jack-o-lantern.

    repurposing a well pressure tank

Kevin, Without knowing I am guessing the hydrant has the same pressure but has more volume if it is hooked to the well. The pipe at the pump is usually 1.5 inches. Your house is .75 and taps are .5 inches. Your pump will push at possibly a higher pressure while it is running to fill the tank...

    repurposing a well pressure tank

Kevin, it has very little to do with pressure in the long run. The pump switch is set to turn on at a low pressure and off at a higher pressure. The bladder tank is used to provide a storage of water and pressure. So as the tank fills the pressure against the bladder will go up ans compress the...

    Snow blower for my quad...

High, Single stage blowers work better with it pretty much loaded up. Also look into adding rubber extensions on the center of the auger where it throws the snow. You want close up the gap to the shell. I have seen people use a section of old conveyer belt bolted on. It will toss the snow much...

Highest and best use for a 4 inch thick steel table that is 3 x 4 foot and on a stand

:3gears: Equine, I have seen a process like the 'bb's' but with dry ice. They used it to position a large granite step. Once in place exactly where they wanted it they shimmed it ant let the ice disappear. I know this won't help the op but your idea reminded me of it. -scrump

Highest and best use for a 4 inch thick steel table that is 3 x 4 foot and on a stand

Back it into the garage on the trailer. Two beams longer than the trailer width through the frame of the table and jack and block the four corners and drive the trailer out. Then lower it on the dollies bringing each end down a couple inches at a time. -scrump

Plastic gear repair (is JB Weld strong enough)

I am guessing you thought of this but before you try to put that in service you may want to cast a full mold of the repaired part. Then you have future options if it does not work. -scrump.

    The repurposing thread

Just a simple one but it works well and it was free. It is the auger drive from a two stage walk behind snowblower. I boxed it in and added a steering wheel from a riding mower. I use it to lift my canoe to the rafters in the garage. Need to add a speed knob to it as it is a little slow.
