Opinion: Sliding Compound Miter Saw - DeWalt vs. Hitachi

I'm a carpenter in Australia. I have had hitachi for 12 years. Always wanted a dewalt but when I finally upgraded a few months ago I did get the Bosch. The reason I didn't go dewalt was the new model 780 didn't seem as robust as the 718. The rails are smaller. But it only weighs about 52...

    Use water when diamond grinding?

The water is designed to keep the diamond bit cool. When they get to hot they will glaze over and not perform well. They will glaze over and need to be dressed.

    A Rant About Builders

Well sail. The person who the house was built for may not have needed a big garage. I have a two car attached and I can not fit two cars in there. And it's bigger than my last 2car. My old place had to have front bummer touching real roller door for tilt door to close.

Need some help with rafter sizing and snow load calc

Here in Australia the inspector that signs a. Project off is now liable for any personal and/or property damage. He is no doubt covering himself. I know of one inspector that did his inspection after a long lunch on a friday and the turned timber stair case was 6mm under height (1/4 inch)...

    experiences with kctools

I think your being a bit rough on the kc tools. I have quite a few and they have never let me down. Their inpacta range is some really good gear. But their pro am range is a bit cheaper but is still better IMHO than the bacho stuff I have had. Cheers Damo.

    Removing ceramic tile

I did a job for a friend and we cut all grout line with a 4"grinder. Then used a sds jack hammer. Most of the tiles just popped up. As for the glue we hired a concrete wet grinder and used a wet and dry vac to remove slurry. Messy and time consuming but perfect result. Good luck.
