Switching from black pipe to Galvanized in air line layout

Somehow it didnt occur to me that Galv could be bought in 20' sticks as well. Doesn't make sense seeing as the cuts would be bare steel, defeating the purpose of galv. Btw I have a threader. It doesnt **** to own :)

Suggestions on running air around garage....

Im liking the idea of copper. Getting a leakproof system seems guaranteed with a sweated joint. Next system i put together i think i may try it.

How many feel you're in a league of your own in your hood?

Re: How many feel your in a league of your own in your hood? Man, i had this EXACT conversation the other day lamenting how hard it is to find good help. Its the way it is out here too. Out of 20 calls, im lucky to get one guy to show up. Nevermind work quality.

Switching from black pipe to Galvanized in air line layout

Going galv seems like a real pain. Your stuck with precut lengths. And pretty big cost. Seems to me it really doesnt matter how rusty my pipe is so long as i have a good filter. Going galv wont negate the need for a filter so how does the end result change? I am intrigued by the copper run...

    Pallet Table

Speaking for myself, I wouldnt want to be anywhere near a patio table sealed with diesel and motor oil. Probably works great for a trailer deck. Lots of food grade sealer options out there. if food grade is desirable, check out sealers for butcherblock.

How many feel you're in a league of your own in your hood?

Re: How many feel your in a league of your own in your hood? ^^Your comment brings to mind 'Maslows hierarchy of Needs'. Generally speaking, my gripe (and I believe what the OP meant) isnt that people are choosing not to do these tasks, but that our culture has shifted to a place where Most...

Garage door opener - multiple issues

Just a thought, Are your motor/rail assembly installed exactly perpendicular to the door? Is the spring tensioned correctly? how does the door feel when you raise it manually? easy, or is there binding? I have to add. When we rebuilt our garage, we replaced the chain drive openers with worm...

Laying Tile in a Recreational Vehicle

There is a premixed water based tile adhesive available at the box stores that is flexible enough to perform in an RV. As Mark said, Tile and stone is used in many High end RVs. The coaches are designed pretty uniquely however. sitting on air suspension, the body is on an engineered mount...

    Deck above garage, input please.

Flat roofs only leak if they are installed incorrectly. Period. Add 1/4" of fall, and run sleepers for the decking. Do not nail anything thru the membrane.

How many feel you're in a league of your own in your hood?

Re: How many feel your in a league of your own in your hood? I forget the book, but there was a passage that went something like " a human being should be able to build a house, close a business deal, deliver a baby, commandeer a vessel, grow his own food, fight in war, and ceo a company" Not...

    Long term ball bearing storage

my comment was more toward the guys who have one tool they use from time to time. You make a living out of selling bearings, not quite the same.
