Delta Milwaukee DP - Help me pull the trigger

I have almost the exact same drill press and I use it strictly for metal and I love it. I would recommend the speed reducing pulley, I was able to find one on eBay for fairly cheap it did take a few months to find one for a reasonable price though. Old tools are expensive in western Canada to...

    Sharpening tin snips

The way I usually adjust my aviation snips is just by testing them on a piece of metal. You should be able to cut very thin pieces off the edge without it binding or folding over the metal, trial and error I guess. Maybe there might be a better way but this always works for me. Pattern snips I...

    Sharpening tin snips

I work with tin snips on a daily basis and I find more often than not it's the adjustment of the blades (how close the blades are to each other) that lead to poor cuts. What I usually do is adjust them and then tack the nut to the bolt to keep them from coming loose again, I find that once...

    Is there 50K here?

I agree. tools are meant to be used, not abused. If all you do is abuse your equipment, remember that when it lets you down. In my experience the guys who beat on stuff are the guys who are always looking to borrow your stuff.

    Is there 50K here?

No offence? listen pal, I use my tools every day, and if taking care of my tools is ignorant then so be it. I've never worked in an active shop? what the hell do you know about me? My tools are well looked after. if it was me trying to sell something for that kind of money, I'd want to make it...

    Is there 50K here?

This guy's an idiot. If you want to sell something for that kind of money, maybe open up some of the cases so you can see what's inside, clean and organize everything, and throw out the garbage. Someone who stores there tools like that doesn't really give a **** about them, which makes you...

    Hello from Canada

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I live in Kelowna, BC, Canada. I've been renting a shop for years now, but I just bought my first shop with a house. My girlfriend sees it the other way around but that's ok. Lot's of great ideas on here, the electrical stuff has been particularly helpful as...

Electric Baseboard heaters needs for 22X26 garage

When figuring this out accurately it's also helpful to know which direction your doors and windows are facing, North, south, east, or west. I do heating and cooling for a living so I might be able to help. This might also help to. My shop is roughly the same size and construction, except no...
