Help me pick a 2-post lift.

My old XPR10 needed 145" height, so I do not think an 11.5' ceiling will cut it for you....that's only 138".... I have since moved and am building a new shop now, with 12'4" (148") clearance to the ceiling for that exact reason.

    G-Floor for Trailers

Have been reading a bunch of posts on the G-floor mats but there's not a ton of info on using these as trailer flooring material. Anyone have experience using it on your car hauler trailer? I'm looking to use it for an 8x24' enclosed car trailer - plan to lay it over the plywood flooring...

WARNING: DO NOT BUY IRONITE Coatings!!!

Well I'm glad I've been able to warn off at least one person...that was what I was attempting to do, other than vent of course:flamethro The only thing I did not do prep-wise was shotblast the new concrete, but then again the Ironite boys didn't recommend this in their instructions...

WARNING: DO NOT BUY IRONITE Coatings!!!

Well, I am an engineer. I do the Old Bronco thing as a hobby and stress relief from working in the Semiconductor industry. Funny how stupid one can feel even having 2 engineering degrees! :wtf: Joe

WARNING: DO NOT BUY IRONITE Coatings!!!

I did prep the floor very carefully following the instructions - including correct dry times between coatings etc... Could I have messed it up - sure, but I can tell you I followed the stated directions to a "T" so maybe there was a problem there?!? I agree that in the end the floor is still a...

    Progress - Coating done!

Yeah, I tried to change the title of the original posting but was unable to do that...I wanted to make sure anyone reading the original post where I was pretty satisfied with how the coating went didnt' get mislead. I did post another more explicitly titled posting ("DO NOT BUY IRONITE!!") with...

    Progress - Coating done!

My feeling exactly! Again - what really irks me most is the lack of support from the company when their product clearly has failed to live up to expectations. Joe

    Progress - Coating done!

Will do Don, thanks. I do appreciate you coming out last time and talking with me....guess I should've thought harder about NOT doing the shop myself in retrospect but I was/am short on cash (gotta love the price of fuel these days!) so had a go at it myself. Oh well - live learn and try to...

WARNING: DO NOT BUY IRONITE Coatings!!!

I agree with all that's been said about having a pro do it - a little too late though! I did read the MSDS sheet and Data sheet on this stuff and had done some research on this site too. The best price I could find from a local pro was 5-6X my doing it and I guess I was about tapped out from...

    Progress - Coating done!

I did use their clearcoat as well, it was supposed to do as you say - harden and protect. I can only imagine how it'd be without that on it! :(:wtf:

    Progress - Coating done!

The concrete was brand new, had aged about 3 months with nothing on it. I power washed and acid washed it very carefully and per the Ironite instructions. Then I did a "primer coat" which per their instructions was a diluted coating of the epoxy followed by 2 coats of the full strength and...

WARNING: DO NOT BUY IRONITE Coatings!!!

Stay away from Ironite! The performance has been poor and the customer service has been even worse! Please see the thread below, read my last entry! http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12503

    Progress - Coating done!

Warning: DO NOT buy Ironite products! I'm really sorry to say my experience with Ironite has turned out to be most unsatisfactory. See pics, this stuff takes tire marks like nobody's business - it also has very poor mechanical resistance. I'm also attaching emails back and forth with Brian...

Advice needed - two post lifting points for a classic bronco?

Ok, the 10K lift is installed in my "Garage Mahal"! Now the interesting part....where's the best place(s) to put the lift pads to safely lift a 1966-77 bronco? It's odd to think but the stock wheelbase is so short you actually have to drive forward of the lifts center, swing the front arms of...

    Progress - Coating done!

Finally got moving again. Spent a LOT of time prepping the floor for the coating. Lots of pressure washing, acid washing, and pressure washing again. Got all the dirt gone....today we coated the floor. I used Ironite Eurathane Epoxy....you can check it out at this link...

    Decals for floor

How well do they last encapsulated in the clearcoat? I'm worried that with anything else they'll wear if in heavy use areas of the floor.....
