Why would someone prefer the larger one, when the 'compact' one is less money?

I also have an SP-100T (tapped settings). I think they call the one with infinite settings "plus". I love mine, its portable being 120V though its still plenty capable for sheet metal and general repairs. I've done 1/4" with mine from both sides and / or beveling the joint.

Well, there's about 1 thousandth of an inch difference between the two. You should be fine. You mean .023" versus .024" I think.

Ti2115 - is about $75 over my budget. Is it made in the USA? I see its a "twin hammer". The Nitrocat is a "twin clutch". Is one better than the other?

Ditto, got mine in the mail without snap-back arbors. I guess I don't care that much about the arbors as long as the hole saws themselves are equally good. Is there any indication that the saws are also "cost-reduced"?

SignCrafter, I'm planning to do curved cuts. I was trying to do them on my Jet 5x6 metal cutting bandsaw, but the sawdust gunked up the bearings due to the cutting oils that were left. I also couldn't get the turn radius quite as tight. Are either of these two orbital?
