Bigger footprint, 12’ ceiling, lift and a shop sink.

House with cool garage for sale near me

I love it, right down the Niki Lauda pic! (Ok..the bed wouldn't work for me.) I wish I had a sink in my own garage, and a lift too for that matter.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Washed and waxed the odd couple....Prius and F150 Supercrew. Cleaned the chop saw and table saw, swept. Polished up a friends seriously tarnished trophy bowl.

    Lets see your workbench

I loved Always Thinkings idea of a drawer beneath his workbench! I did somthing similar over Christmas and it is an awesome place to store power tools. I gained about 10 cubic feet of storage.

    Difficult storage solutions

I went with the rubbermaid fastrack system for the few I hang in the garage. This is brooms, blower, small ladder, stuff like that. In the shed I use this for shovels, rakes and others. It has stood up fine for 20 years or so...

What's a good chair to put in the shop?

Also in the office chair camp. I use one of my old ones for resting in the shop. Its nice to have the height and recline options and it is compact and rolls.

    Garage storage

I have several black plastic shelving units bought from the Sam’s. Lots of places carry them and the price is reasonable. They are an easy solution to shelf space and can handle some pretty hefty weight. Think - chops saw & table saw weight. They can be strapped back to the wall for added...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Swept, Cleaned the bench, rigged an easy to breakdown line for drying stuff. Cleaned my “work” chairs, grilled and watched football.

Looking for some advice on lighting my shed/shop

Just seeing this and you have probably found a solution by now, but my advice is avoid fluorescents. With LED so readily and cost effectively available and no need for the old ballasts, why use that old technology? LED is brighter, more consistent and uses less less energy. The longer units...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

So true. You have to choose what you put up there! When I moved to Florida, I learned that without a basement which the majority of homes do not have, and with attics that can get very hot, your storage is limited to closets and (gasp) garage!

    Sturdy shop towel holder?

Another plug for the Harbor Freight version. Great if you have a spot to magnetize it to. Inexpensive as well.

    Wiring for TV in Garage

TV in the garage is great when I work on my vehicles or projects. We have decent wifi through Xfinity and the garage is relatively close to the router, so no signal issue. I use a roku out there and it gives full Xfinity functionality including live tv, anything recorded and On Demand. Check...

What's on your walls? Neat storage ideas!

Space is a premium always it seems and tarps are a pain to shelf store. I think you will be glad you added them. The drawers give me a little over 10 square feet of storage up off the floor. I bought these non-swivel caster wheels off amazon so the drawers would pull out straight and not be...

    *Garage For My 49*

What's on your walls? Neat storage ideas!

Really liking all these great ideas! I hope this fits. I have been reworking my old bench to gain storage and started by pulling the 1x8’s that were bracing the front and replacing them with uni-strut. It gained 5-6” of height both above and below the shelf and the uni-strut is a good place...

    Electric Heat

I have the 10,000 Watt version of this one on a 50 amp dedicated circuit. My garage is a 2-car with 10’ ceilings, conditioned space above and well insulated. Since I’m a weekend warrior with the occasional weeknight in my garage after my day job, this does the trick nicely and I dont get to use...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Installed the Harbor Freight organizers, magnetic shelf and paper towel holder on my recently acquired roller cabinet. Used CLR to clean up some rusty tools. Cleaned the Weber and moved it to the garage for winter use. Oiled my workbench top. Swept up.

    Tool & Cabinet Brands?

Just acquired this Roller Combo from Tractor Supply. Basically the same price as the Harbor Freight 26” roller box combo but 10” wider and 3” deeper. Top hatch is larger too and can close with my dewalt cordless drill (with battery pack) standing up. They gave me $50 off for a slight dent in...
