Finally the workshop is almost done.

The other side of the garage is being used for storage right now. There is also a studio above the garage with a big bay window facing the rear. I haven't had a chance to take pics in the day time, but I plan on it in the near future.

Finally the workshop is almost done.

Monkey, The compressor is the 60 gallon, and I haven't had a single problem with it yet. I recently changed the drain valve to a easier to use lever type, but the pump hasn't had any problems. I've had that compressor for about 3 years now, but only recently started using it. Wilbilt, I...

Finally the workshop is almost done.

Well there are a few ways to do it. The best way is to pull the EGI fuse and crank the engine over for around 20 seconds, let the engine sit for about 10 seconds and then crank it again for 20 seconds and you should be set. Put the EGI fuse back in and the car should start up. Maybe Tech...

Finally the workshop is almost done.

The yellow car only has 44k on it and is pretty much stock engine wise. I don't think it'll be getting a leak anytime soon. My car is the one on the bottom, if I was worried...it would be on the top :) If either car would develop a leak, it would be mine. Bend pak sells some drip trays we...

Finally the workshop is almost done.

A friend and I have been working on a small workshop for a few months now and it's been pretty much done for a while, but we finally put the flooring down a few weeks ago. Everything in the garage we pretty much installed ourselves except the electrical. We did however install the lights above...

    Any recommendations for countertop?

We used a three 2x12s and screwed them together then took the boards to the local metal shop who covered everything with the steel. I think it was around $250 total.

    Any recommendations for countertop?

16 gauge galvanized steel works pretty good too. Thats what I used......here is a pic...It's very durable. Just have the doors covered with the metal.

    checkered motto flooring

Alright here's the deal. I ordered 8 boxes of the gray floor tiles. I was wondering if anyone has called costco to see if they could get either all white tiles or all black tiles instead of the checkered pattern? I'd like to make the floor gray and black checkered not black and white. I...

how to rid garage of bugs and spiders?

To initially rid the garage of all little insects HD sells a "bug bomb" You basically put it in the middle of the room and set it off. Make sure you close all windows and vents, and after an hour you open all doors and windows to let it vent. Then follow up with some of that ortho home...

    flooring from Sams Club

Wow, thats a huge difference. I was under the impression that Racedeck, sams club stuff and Motto were all the same. Glad I went with the motto. Sandoval, I guess costco has an ongoing sale with that stuff. The sale just ended for the tiles on the 2nd for the same discount, and I thought...

    cushion under race deck?

Sandoval, Thanks I'll either give that a shot or the landscaping felt, either one should eliminate the clacking. I got in on the motofloor deal that costco was having. After shipping I think I paid around $900 for eight boxes and one finishing kit. The only thing I'm worried about would be...

    cushion under race deck?

I would have thought a four post lift would be fine since the 1' x 1' base would spread most of the weight across a few tiles.

    cushion under race deck?

I read a thread last week about putting some rug cushion under the race deck before putting it down. I tried searching but couldn't find the post. So what have you put under your race deck / motofloor so the tiles don't make noise when you walk on them. Also is it safe to put a four post...

    Garage door opener dilema

I'm In Virginia right now, but I'll post some pictures of what I mean when I get home tomorrow. Basically, when the door is down, there is about 8-10 inches of clearance between the door and the ceiling, not the track. When the door is up all the way, the track and the door are basically...

    My 'shop'

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would you want to flip your car on it's side? Doesn't that kind of harm oh i dunno...something??

    Garage door opener dilema

There is clearance above the garage door opening, but when rolled up where the track would sit there is no clearance, so the jackshaft is pretty much the only option. About how much does it cost to convert the springs to torsion ones? Thanks for the info also, I looked at the Miracle and...
