    Forgive me if this has already been covered on the forum but....

    This is exactly my question.. I've always used an inside read rule in the pipefitting trade. You can lay the rule flat on the pipe or workbench while having it partially folded up. You are unable to do so with an outside read rule due to the folded up segment preventing you from laying it flat...

    I'm questioning the reasoning behind the use of an outside read when an inside read is much more useful since you can actually lay the rule down over what you're measuring. You can not lay an outside read on top of your work piece because of the way it's designed and I dont see any reason why...

    Socket does not have markings . The set is complete but I also thought there was s missing piece I googled it and sure enough, this is how the set comes. I'm not sure what the square drive on the ratchet is for as of yet. The tool is for emergency shut off of copper pipe from 3/4 inch to 1...

    6 inch copper bypass on main line circulation pump

    Preparation is extremely important the bigger you go in pipe size. I use a 6 inch wire wheel on my drill to clean the inside of the fitting. Mesh sand cloth on the pipe ends and nokorode flux. Sweating is done with a B-tank turbo torch set up with an A-32 large bore tip.
