    Generators and Inverters in parallel

So it seems like if the DC inverter had a load on it, then Generator 1 is started and syncs itself to inverter cycles, then Generator 2 is started and it syncs itself to DC inverter and Generator 2. Seems simple enough. It's really only the DC inverter that is the questionable issue here. As I...

    Generators and Inverters in parallel

OK to clarify. Yes 2 pure sine inverter generators and a DC pure sine wave inverter. From the research I have done says even the nonlabeled inverter generators can be parallel by just plugging a cord between them and running your load. You may be limited to the 15a breaker unless you connect to a...

    Generators and Inverters in parallel

OK so those handy little pure sine inverter generators can be parallel to run larger loads. OK great but maybe it's not quite enough so you tie in a pure sine wave DC to AC inverter cuz the in rush current of your compressor is too much for your generators. That would all work right. The...

Worth going from 3/8" to 1/2" piping on compressor?

Make your drops rise a foot or so from main line. Water runs down hill but has trouble going up. Have a drain valve at end of your line. So your main line pitches down to the line drain. In general less restrictions the better. Large supply then reduce at location.

Well plumbers? Shallow well pump problem

I contacted the pump manufacturer and reviewed with them. They recommended using old fashioned foam shaving cream around suction pipe joints and run pump. The suction will indent the foam where it leaks and ***** in. Also another thing to try is saran wrap on joints. After reviewing actual...

Well plumbers? Shallow well pump problem

I'm trying to figure out the cause and solution to this pump problem. https://youtube.com/?#/watch?v=qECPUWsOE10 2" well casing 23' deep with a sand point. Pump is on about 20' of 1 1/4" suction pipe with a foot valve. The static water level is 4-5ft below pump. The pump is brand new. I...

My new almost dream shop 25x32

Sorry I missed your question but I will answer it anyway. It's been a long time since I measured the height but I believe it's around 18'. You have to check into your height and find out if it's max height or mean height or something like that. Mine was 15' mean height. Which means 15' from...

Things happen for a reason I guess

Eh gotta be careful bout this kinda issue. Many guys selling shop type stuff are older either in years or generation and not really into the technology thing. So they might throw the ad up there but not really pay much attention for a day or two. ***** but just kinda the way it is.

Best way to protect trailer wiring?

Just a simple loop of 12gauge wire looped around your drawbar etc. But for a more permanent solution I also recommend switching to the 7 way rv style plug.

Yep that's what I was saying, seal it up to keep moisture out, but leave a hole in the bottom for drainage.

    Insulation of Vaulted Ceiling

I would only spray foam a vault ceiling like that nowadays. Best R value per inch and no venting. Little pricey to purchase but it's a one time deal.

    Removing Heat

To control the heat, the number one thing you need to do is seal off the attic space. The radiant heat from the roof will make it unbearable. The temps will reach 140-150 deg easily. At a minimum Throw some plastic up on the ceiling after building one if needed. Then put up some drywall and...

    Weatherproof/waterproof gang boxes

Why not use the box of your choosing then caulk it to seal it up other than a hole in the bottom. Be sure to run wire in from bottom and use an in use bubble cover.

    Question about running air lines

Most tanks have a large reducing bushing that can be replaced. Mine reduced to 1/2" also. I used a big socket, some elbow grease, and an impact to remove the bushing and got one from a plumbing supplier that reduced to 3/4". Cost me about $4 and some time. If you have a welded in bushing, then...

    IP Camera Help (Security Camera)

I have an 8 channel with 8 cams Night Owl kit using a 1gb HD. Viewable online easily and convenient. The cam quality is not the greatest with the included cams. The angle of the lense is too narrow. People and cars are fairly identifiable during the day. At night it's difficult to see much. But...
