Check out my new BendPak/Ranger floor jack!

I don't have any personal experience with one but I asked Jeff Kritzer at BendPak about the effort required to work one because I too have a jack that the mechanical advantage to use it is terrible. He told me that this Ranger one had a large enough cylinder that it wasn't hard to use. I was...

Michelin Tires Back Ordered For 3-6 Months?

I don't know if it's hard to get the size you are looking for but a couple of weeks ago I bought a set of LT235/75/15's in the LTX M/S and the dealer was able to have them from their warehouse the next day.

Craftsman work benches with b-blocck top $189

I've looked at the Seville bench lots of times at Sam's and it looks like a nice bench. How long ago did you pay $149.00? I think a few weeks ago when I looked at the prices at the Sam's in Bowling Green KY they were $189.00.

Craftsman work benches with b-blocck top $189

SpeedCoach, Did you see a floor model in the store? How do they compare to the Gladiator benches? Are they really only 34 1/2" tall? I was thinking of ordering one but was hoping to hear a review on them first and find out if the dimension on the website is correct.

Craftsman work benches with b-blocck top $189

Did anyone end up buying one? It looks interesting but kind of short. On their website it says it's only 34.5" tall.

FYI - Seville Cabinet Pricing at Sam's Club vs. Sears Sold Brands

I bought a few of those Seville cabinents, I don't think they are quite as nice as the Gladiator but when you look at the price then they can't be beat. I'll probably get one more in a few months.

Installing a 4-Post Lift near Saw Cuts or Slab Edges? Is it ok?

I asked the same question in regards to my two post Bend-Pak and this is what I was told by Jeff Kritzer of Bend-Pak " Being in the auto shop business expansion joints are a common issue that we have to deal with daily. 6” is the magic number. Try to maintain a 6” spacing from expansion...

    Shelving ideas

If you are a member of Sams Club or Costco take a look at their Gorilla Rack shelving. They are pretty decent shelves for the money. They are easily adjustable and hold a good bit of weight.

    HD14TL Bendpak lift

I think the HD14 is very similar to the HD12 series that it replaced. I own a HD12 and it has to be bolted down, I'm almost certain the HD14 will also have to be bolted to the floor.

    Carolina Carports - Bad Experience

A dealer near me in Glasgow KY told me they'd stopped selling any carports except Carolina because that was the only company they'd dealt with that was actually showing up when they were supposed to, doing good work and standing behind the work after it was completed. I looked at the displays...

Question about Bend Pak HD9 operation

My HD-12 runs pretty smooth but it's bolted down and I spent a lot of time making sure it was perfectly square before bolting it to the floor. That may make the difference and if it's off it will most likely contributre to your rubber blocks binding.

lift distance to control joints in concrete?

I asked Jeff Kritzer at Bendpak this question in regards to my 10,000 pound two post lift and here's what he said: · Being in the auto shop business expansion joints are a common issue that we have to deal with daily. 6” is the magic number. Try to maintain a 6” spacing from expansion...

    Bend Pak 4 Post...Install Myself?

I set my HD-12 up by myself. It wasn't hard but I did use pallet forks on my tractor to unload the parts from my flatbed trailer and also to put the runways in place. If you set it up yourself then you have a better idea of how it all works.

    symmetric lift spacing in shop

Sorry I forgot to mention what I'll be putting on it. I'll be using it for a little bit of everything, SUVs such as Ford Explorers, Jeep Cherokees, etc. Also 1/2 - 1 ton long bed pickups and an occasional van. I think the 11'4" is going to cut it pretty close, I probably better place it back...

    symmetric lift spacing in shop

I asked a while back about distance from front to back on placing a 2 post lift. I had some delays again and am finally ready to install this thing on Monday. I'm still trying to decide on exactly where I want to place the lift. Do you think having 11' 4" from the center point of the lift to...

My “Class Act” Trailer's Structural Integrity Failure

You have to check all of the components of a trailer very carefully before buying. When I was doing research prior to buying a new flatbed trailer last year I looked at several brands. Aall trailers are rated at a certain gross weight but often not all of the components are made to hold the...

    Squaring up steel building

You need to leave it that way until you get some siding and roofing in place to keep the red iron squared. I think if you don't you will still get enough flex (even with the red iron fastened securely) that it may not hold it square.

    Air line connection

Try searching and you should find the info you are looking for. There's been lots of discussion on the past on the forum about shop airlines. The best way to connect from the compressor to the iron pipe is with a short section of flex hose. If you do that then you won't transmit the...
