    12T Press vs 30T

On his potential set up (the 30ton) you just replace the whole jack with a pneumatic controlled jack like this: https://www.harborfreight.com/20-ton-air-over-hydraulic-jack-95553.html For my set up with a separate pump similar to this...

    12T Press vs 30T

I would grab that in a heart beat. Plus if you wanted to and spend a little more money, you can make it either pneumatic or use a electric hydraulic system to operate. I got this one out of a salvage yard last summer. Need to work on it to make it work right, but I am already contemplating...

Any decent masonry bits at big box stores?

I second the Bosch bits that are made in Germany. Even dull, they still go through concrete better than Chinese made new bits.

    2019 Tractor Supply Clearance thread...

Just picked up a 2 pack of DeWalt DWE-4012 4 1/2" grinders with paddle triggers for $74.99 (normally one sells for around $69.00) and also got a LED Weapon light and laser sight set for $21.99 (down from around $41.99)

    LED florescent replacments ??

Sorry for late response, lost internet due to stupid ISP letting wire lay across the street before a snow storm and have issues trying to get on the site with smartphone. Anyway, yeah, I just drilled through the fixture with a hole slightly larger than the screw I was using. I then used...

    LED florescent replacments ??

I have had my Sunco lights installed for a month so far and really like them. They seem to have good reviews. I was considering the HyperIkon before, but then I saw some bad reviews on them and decided not to go with them. But like you said, its probably all the same. One thing I did though...

    LED florescent replacments ??

I used another brand (forget, but got it at Home Depot) for one of my flourescent lights. It works good. I had to remove the ballast because they do not need it, plus mine had gone bad (some you can leave the ballast in place) They just cost alot. In my new garage, I just installed 5 LED 4...

    24x26 garage ceiling

Ummmm....no way $200 US would even cover a 1/4 of your ceiling. 24x26 = 624sq feet total Lets use Lowes pricing for an example. Vinyl Soffit 10"x144"=1440"/144"=10 sq ft. Each piece costs $14.47 each. 624/10=62.4 pieces round up to 63x14.47=$911.61 US I know in Canada its higher cost, and...

    24x26 garage ceiling

Trying to understand how its only going to cost you $500 for soffit and trim? I can buy the metal panel for about $2.35 a square foot around here. Soffit panel runs more expensive around here, probably closer to $3 a sq. ft. or more depending on type. At $2.50, your over $1500 just in panels...

    24x26 garage ceiling

He means a metal panel similar to what they use on pole building roofs and siding. I had it installed on mine.

    24x26 garage ceiling

You could use that if the support spacing is proper. But it will also cost way more than the standard pole building metal siding, especially if you can find a manufacturer close by and buy direct.

    Compressor line run

Most heating systems use type M due to the thinner wall for better heat transfer.

    Compressor line run

The easiest set up would be a car or truck transmission cooler and a car or truck electric fan. The hardest part for some might be connections and getting 12v to run the fans. Its also cheap if you can find the parts in a salvage yard where you pull the parts.

    Compressor line run

If you look further down, someone else brought up the same concern, but the guy has the pressures of type L and type M copper tubing listed on there as well. But here is another site with copper ratings. http://www.alascop.com/pdf/cu/water_tubing_1.pdf

    Compressor line run

Here is another one from the Pirate4x4 forum, guy used home hot water base board radiators for his set up. https://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/shop-tools/596034-my-new-compressor-intercooler.html

    Compressor line run

Yup. Very inexpensive and very easy to set up. Like I said above, just search on here, there are many examples of coolers. Search air compressor cooler, air compressor after cooler and many will pop up, easiest is just to do a google search. Here is one I found right away doing a google...

    Compressor line run

You need heat transfer for a "radiator" or "cooler" so no you can not use the PEX. Metal has a much higher heat transfer than the PEX ever will, especially if you use a fan to move air over it as well.

Sheet metal/body guys, I need some input.

What car is it your working on? I have never seen anyone do a patch panel through something like the gas filler door like that. Much more work involved in it. And I would not be to concerned with ADD at this stage. The better your metal work, the less filler needed, the better the job will...

    Compressor line run

I know the PVC police are on the lookout, but my dad ran sch 40 pvc for his garage and basement runs. HOWEVER, he hardly uses it anymore (he installed it about 10 years ago) and it doesn't get any sunlight on it. If I was to run it, I would choose schedule 80. But I am not running PVC in my...

Do you carry a pocket knife?

I always carry some kind of knife on me. Currently I have been carrying the folding razor blade holder as a knife due to the abuse I was putting knives through. I work as a landscaper and would go through a knife a year. Now I just change out the blade and am good to go. I have 6 of them. If...
