    FJ45Cruiser's 36x28 Garage build

Thanks. I ended up trading the 45 to a buddy due to a few reasons, mainly because it didn't fit the family. I ended up picking up an FJ40 that needs a little work and I've got a wheeling 40 I'm working on.

    FJ45Cruiser's 36x28 Garage build

Thanks. Yeah we're in Massachusetts. Great time of year to be working outside. Took down 5 maples yesterday. The straw waddles were a condition of the town conservation commission.

    FJ45Cruiser's 36x28 Garage build

We just moved this past summer and I was working out of a one car garage. Now I'm finally getting ready to build a shop/garage. Its going to be a 36x28 with an. 9x8 and 16x8 garage doors. We are putting vaulted ceiling trusses over the 9x8 door and attic trusses over the remaining which should...

    3 gallons of gas

What about using saw dust? I saved a bunch of saw dust when I was doing some home improvement projects. I worked great to soak up oil in the garage and you can burn it afterwards. Its cheap and effective.

I just lost HALF my tools!

I audit insurance companies for the residual market (assigned risk auto). Companies don't like the insurance comissioner on their tail. All complaints must be logged and need to be followed up to ensure a proper and timely resolution. Just the threat of calling might help a little with the...

I just lost HALF my tools!

This is true. We had a loss in our house when our sewer backed up into the finished basement. The adjuster came out and estimated and gave us a check. Since I had finished the basement originally I asked if I could put a little sweat equity so we wouldn't have to pay the deductable out of...

    Harbor Freight Spot Weld Cutter

I'm in the process of doing some rust repair on my Land Cruiser roof and needed to remove a bracket from the hard top. I tried to drill out some of the spot welds and ended up making a little bit of a mess and eventually punching through on a couple of them. I started looking for spot weld...

Can you fill a CO2 bottle with welding mix, Oxygen, or Helium

You mentioned a dicarded dive tank. Are there known probems with it? You might be able to sell it on craigslist. I became NAUI certified in college but have only been on a handfull of dives since and that was almost 10 years ago. If I recall correctly, to get a dive tank filled unless you...

    Welding in patch panels

I've found reading through this thread very helpful and am ready to start my welding. For some reason this flanged cap was rivited into the top of my 77 FJ45 Land Cruiser top. I drilled out the rivits and cut the area out with a Harbor Freight body saw. I don't think it really liked...

Can you fill a CO2 bottle with welding mix, Oxygen, or Helium

Picked it up on Saturday and it had a sticker on it from Airgas. Called the local Airgas dealer to see if they would swap it out for a C-25 cylinder and they said no problem. Good to go. Thanks for all the input.

Can you fill a CO2 bottle with welding mix, Oxygen, or Helium

Thanks for the responses. I'm picking it up on Thursday and will swing by the welding supply place to see if they will do some sort of exchange for the correct bottle. Any suggestions on the size cubic foot wise. The welding shop that I frequently deal with will only sell up to a 75 cubic...
