    High iron in well water...

Thank you everyone for your input. The new systems seems to be working although I'm probably going to shock the well with the goal of knocking down the iron buildup in the well pump and casing....

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Spent the day making gifts for the guys that run our hunting camp....have 2 done, the last one will hopefully get done tomorrow then just need to finish vacuum shaping the sheaths. The cool thing is that I've been using the cutoffs from my cutting board projects as handle material...

    High iron in well water...

We had the ozone generator that was installed by the previous owner. Not very effective, but then again it was really small. Looks like it was originally made for a spa/hot tub. We also don't have a large holding tank. It goes from the well to the pressure tank to the 60g contact tank. We're...

    High iron in well water...

I searched and actually found a thread about this, but it was 2 years old and closed for comments so I'm starting another thread. Sorry if its a long post... We live in the California foothills and are on a well. Our well is really high in iron - 10ppm - and is staining the toilets, sinks...

Above 1200 Sq/FT From Urban Pie Factory To Mountain Barn

Sorry to hear. Finding a good GC, especially in and around Tahoe, where the good ones are booked solid, is difficult. You seem to have a great attitude and your priorities are in the right place. Good luck!

Finally finished and reassembled the Savage. Found some bent railroad spikes on etsy and mounted to an old board....viola!

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

We just bought a Stihl battery weedwacker. Love that thing. And since it uses the same battery as my limbing saw, I now have 3 batteries and 2 chargers...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Was on the Book of Faces and found a couple of old kitchen cabinets that will work perfectly for my new miter saw station. Now to sand, paint and assemble the center drop down section

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

It's been hot(mid 90s) so only in the shop in the mornings. More coats of oil on the gunstock and made a couple handles for knives for upcoming b-day gifts.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

It's a 300 savage. Ammo is tough to find but I can do about an inch at 100yds with the open sights. Fun rifle to shoot

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Several(many) years ago a buddy gave me an old beat up Savage 99 he didn't want anymore. I've had it up on the wall above the bar and have taken it out to the range a few times. It's a fun shooter and pretty darn accurate for open sights. Today I pulled it down and spent the morning stripping...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Well, not in the shop, but part of the day was "for the shop" Got the conduit installed for wiring from the main panel to the shop. Unfortunately, main panel and shop are at opposite ends of the property so had to spend a bunch of time in the unfinished, under house area. mice, insulation...

Property clean up and a little dirt work

Not sure exactly where you're located, I'm in Grass Valley. We have 6 acres of mostly hillside and some flat. I have a little 30hp kubota that works well for keeping the flat areas clear, grading the driveway and moving rock and dirt. I'm currently trying to cut in a road/firebreak and the...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I do! I'm taking it really slow and careful. Running on a hill is just not my favorite thing to do. I tried to explain to the finance manager that I needed a mini-excavator, but she shot that down right out of the gate.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Not in theshop, but just below the shop..... For the past 2 days I've been trying to cut a road/firebreak into our lower hillside. The challenge is my little kubota isn't built for hillsides so I have to cut and fill as I go forward then turn around and do grading with the box blade. Don't like...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

A while ago I bought some HF clamps for glueups. They were disappointing to say the least and would twist as you tightened them. I found a hack somewhere (possibly here) that said to insert a piece of wood to strengthen them. Sure enough, it worked like a charm.
