Not too thrilled with my Metric Wright grip wrenches

....And this response is why I have absolutely no problem buying Wright tools..... Thank you Ty. I will be returning the questionable ones I have to Jori at Epsteins for swap out. I wavered on this as it's mostly cosmetic, but I think you want to see them even if it's strictly a cosmetic issue.

    Anyone else like Channellocks?

I bet channel-lock pliers are some of the most abused tools out there. They would not be in business if they gave away free replacements for every pair that has broken due to misuse. Good companies stay in business by having written policies that they follow. Not just give away free goods...

Not too thrilled with my Metric Wright grip wrenches

I also bought a set of the wright grip metric wrenches from Epsteins yesterday. Some of my wrenches from the set also have the same staining as Slipjointed posted. I don't see much flaking after a quick once over, but some definite staining on some of them. My 19MM is by far the worst. On...

    White dust/film after etching

You need to rent a pressure washer and really wash away the film. I rinsed my garage floor 6 times and still had it. One pass with a pressure washer and it was gone. Made a world of difference.

    HOT DEAL Index!!

haha. I am guilty for 1 of the sets. Also picked up another size tongue and groove on its own as well. Practically every opn socket I bought said 1 or 2 left. I made a big dent in the available items list with my order. Probably 15 items that should have been the last one left.

    HOT DEAL Index!!

just dropped quite a bit on the Beta tools. well, not really. Bought all 75% off stuff, but great deals. Bunch of loose sockets and a 15 piece reversible watching MM wrench set. Don' treally need them but tough to pass up upgrading craftsman sockets or gear wrenches for Beta. Smokin deals.

Did i make a mistake buying my HF 11drawer box? (DIYer)

your toolbox is never big enough. You will always want something bigger. Same with garages. Use the **** out of it. When you literally can't fit any more in it, or have disposable income, upgrade and sell it on craigslist for $100.

Epoxy Coat application - heat and dry time?

Just finished up. Put down the first coat of gray from 7AM to 9:30 AM. Was cured enough to put down the clear coat at 2:00PM. Clear was down and done by 2:45. No bubbles, no problems. Went smooth. Curing now at 90 degrees. Will post pics once cured.

Epoxy Coat application - heat and dry time?

planning on putting down epoxy coat in a 3-car garage this weekend. Weather looks like a high of 93, with no rain forecast. It's the midwest though, so there is humidity. Question #1: Anything to avoid or prep for in regards to the high temps? #2: I have the clear coat and want to apply...

    HF wrenches and sockets

I think it's lifetime warranty with a receipt. You gotta ask yourself if you would enjoy spending the time cussing at your broken HF tools, or using a quality tool for the job. That being said, I have some HF sockets and they haven't broken on me yet.

    Aghhhh...lost my major discount

That is exactly why you don't give notice until you can walk in to your other job the next day. I don't remember the last guy that gave notice and was working until the 2 weeks were up. You are better off telling them you are retiring. Then you get the full 2 weeks and probably a party on...

Craftsman: Would you take this back to SEARS?

The argument would be that because of the gunk, it was not used as intended. Thus, voiding the warranty. The sears guy would come up with lots of reasons why the tip broke with the gunk all over it. Cleaned up, there shouldn't be much of an argument.
