    Coveralls?

Unless I'm going to be working under a car or doing some really dirty work, I prefer to use aprons similar to the ones you see on the funny car and top fuel crews at the drags. Aprons are light and you don't feel all bound up in them and they ar are a lot cooler than cover alls. I too have old...

    Used restaurant supply stores

Hey all! My wife and I went to a "used restaurant supply store" the other day and I was amazed at what all I found that could apply to my garage shop and for very reasonable prices! I found narrow, long stainless steel shelves that would be perfect for holding bottles of fluids etc. and that...

    Pits

I think a pit would be fine, provided it is in the right place! Obviously, if you have a one car garage you don't need a pit. Just for arguments sake, in a big enough garage (or should I say "shop") I think it could be useful, especially if you don't have the allowable headroom for a "lift"...

Garage Windows -- Yes or No?

I have a 25' by 31' garage attached. No windows on the front of it, but I do have windows on the back side. The back side of the garage is also visible from the back side of house ("L" shaped house/garage). The front is also very well "lit" by a large mercury light, as well as motion lights all...

    Why spiders are your friend.....

I rate spiders right up there with "snakes." I don't even like dead ones! :tantrum2: I remember working on an old '55 Chevy I got a long time ago. We were trying to knock out a dent in the side of the rear fender. I stuck my hand up under the fender to feel the inside of the dent and felt...
