    Tools of Japan

I received my Tone ratchet today in the mail from ninja tools on eBay. At 628 mm, the big 1/2" drive should be able to handle almost anything that I don't won't to take the impact to. Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

    Armstrong worth finding?

I have an Armstrong 12-973 ratchet and it is built like a tank. It's 1/2" drive with 36 teeth and 15 inches oal. If you can get one of those at a great price, I wouldn't hesitate. If ever needed, it could easily be used as a self defense weapon with it's weight Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

I want to go metric - anyone other Americans done this

Problem happened with the Hubbell telescope also because of usage of two different measurement systems. The big new telescope took blurry pictures as a result Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

I want to go metric - anyone other Americans done this

This day and age, most people have a smart phone in their pocket. Download a good calculator app, and your all set. A good one will even include conversion calculations. While I can do the math in my head, it only takes a second to double check. It's always quicker to double check than fix a...

    Combination Wrench Sets

I picked up some NOS satin finished USA made Blackhawk wrenches from ebay several months ago for a cheap set at work. For 44 dollars shipped, I got a set 3/8" to 1". To bad the metric equivalents are harder to find.

    The Ratchet Collection Thread

I picked this up due to the retro style of it. Seems like it could use a little superlube, but its pretty nice none the less. s-l1600 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/110082568@N08/

    Tools of Japan

I'm currently waiting on the 24.72 inch Tone 1/2" long handle flex head to arrive in the mail. Figured i would give it a try. Hopefully it keeps me from adding the SnapOn 25" to my collection, even though I have the 3/8 and 1/4 long handle flex already. Ill post up some pictures when it arrives.

    Wrenches

If you like the Milwaukee wrenches, I say go for it. My most reached for wrenches are the SK X frame ratcheting. If I need offset on the box end, I grab the superkromes. Most jobs I do as a non professional mechanic, the most common thing I reach for is my Aircat stubby 1055 th and Sunex impacts...

    Red Lube of Love ingredients

The ultraslick is pretty thick in itself. You smear it all over a camshaft and it will stay put Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

    1/4 ratchet

The SnapOn 72 tooth is nice. Some other nice opitoins are the SK palm control and the SK tuff one, but both are on the short side at 4 1/2 inches. The proto is also a nice option but is is 45 teeth. Another option would be an SK with the dt upgrade Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

    Red Lube of Love ingredients

The ultra slick is commonly used for camshafts. Other than that I have nothing useful to add Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

    Decent hand impact driver?

I have that exact one. Works pretty well. I had it in my car one night at work, and it got put into heavy use one night. It was used to remove close to 60 bolts that production line employees managed to start stripping out the torx bits on after running the bolt half way in. Turned out the...
