ASTRO GIVEAWAY - Introducing the 65SL (The 40SL Successor)

My vote would be for torque wrenches like the SnapOn Flexhead Techangle. They are nice, but the price puts them out of most people's hands, and you need usually 2 or 3 of them with different ranges. 1500 is hard to swallow for complete coverage. Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

    Sk dt upgrade kit?

I have the dt100 kit in the 42470. It comes in handy for tight bolts that I can't fit a 15 inch ratchet in or my stubby impact. In this pic, it's surrounded by a SK Tuff one 72 tooth and Carlyle 90 tooth. The mechanism feels better than the Carlyle, but not as silky smooth as the tuff one, but...

Where do you buy your tools?

Most of my tools come from eBay or Amazon. Some of the tools from ebay, come from online retailers but for some odd reason, they are priced cheaper than on their own website. I've bought a few tools off the SnapOn truck, but not enough to get much of a deal. Pawnshops have been a bust for me...

Recieved the 4 piece Gearwrench 120XP ratchet set today along with a Lang disc brake spreader. Last brake job I did, I couldn't find my c clamp that I usually use and had to resort to large channelllocks. Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

    Picoscope, hantek or autel oscilloscope

I recently picked up a Maxiscope 408 from eBay for 360 shipped to the door. I've never used a scope before today, but I used it to set the gains on my car audio amplifier. All that involves is looking for clipped sine wave signal at the hertz my speaker is designed to play. In my case, 40 hz...

Link is kinda broke. Was curious what the price was considering I purchased the same thing from tool discounter not long ago. Still waiting for it to arrive. Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

Got a few things in the last few days. Lisle spark plug wire pullers, Autel MP408 4 channel Oscilloscope, some 3/8 Powerbuilt extensions, Tekton metric wrenches and screwdrivers, and Gear wrench 84 piece master hex and torx bit socket set. Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

    Autel MP408 Maxiscope

I was curious if anyone here has used the Mp408 4 channel Maxiscope. Thinking about picking one up, but was looking for some feedback first. I'm not experienced with an oscilloscope, but would like to learn. I've ran across several situations where one would have been very handy. Sent from my...

    Let's see your toolbox.

Picked up a Husky 46" x 24.5" tool chest today. It will be replacing the 18" box in the garage, while it is headed to work. The extra depth makes a huge difference. Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

They like pretty identical to the old style seal drivers that I have. I think they were 19.99, but I haven't had an issue with them. Sent from my Z962BL using Tapatalk

    Powerbuilt XT 90 ratchets?

Just thought I would update this thread on the 200 Piece Master Mechanic's Service Tool Set. Overall impressions of the 90 tooth ratchets that come in the set are pretty good. The handles are comfortable and the action doesn't have excess backdrag or slop, nor do they have any locking up or...

    Multimeter reccommendations

I like the Power Probe brand multimeter that came with the Power Probe kit. Since I got the kit, it has taken over duty from my Innova. It was a big step up. I don't use a multimeter for a living, but I'm on the friends and family plan when it comes to working on stuff. Sent from my Z962BL...

broke a craftsman combo wrench. now what?

Not the OP, but I've broken the box end out of one double wrenching. The ring didn't take well to the side loading. The only other one I have ever broke was using a cheater pipe on it. Both wrenches succumbed to rusted on leaf spring bolts. Great wrenches with the exception of the open ends...
