I would have thought the same thing. Now I know I can use my plug tool to install springs.

Can't imagine why it wouldn't work, but the critical part is to securely and safely attach the gantry to the 4 post lift rails. Compared to the capacity of the lift, separately lifting the engine sounds like a minor load and the only additional weight is the gantry and its paraphernalia.

And what is the shelf life of that silvery paste grease that my Dad had sitting on the workbench for the past 40 years. The lid looks bad but inside it still looks like gooey grease? :lol_hitti

When it comes time, I plan to run a few feet of copper then the rest PEX. Thanks for all the interesting input and insights. Ken

I have seen extended discussions of copper vs black pipe vs RapidAir lines. Why wouldn't PEX be a viable alternative? I don't know the first thing about PEX, but it seems to be a much less $ alternative than copper or pipe. Why wouldn't it be as good or better than RapidAir? Certainly, it...

Why wouldn't 1/2" PEX be a good option? It is rated at 160PSI.
