Ah Fastenal. They use the rule of 24. They want 24yr old employees, for 24 months and pay them $24k. I’m a competitor of theirs. I have no idea how or why anyone would feel comfortable doing business with them.

Did you tighten each hole in the chuck? That’s the proper way. Did you check runout in the bit? As far as bearings, google the model and parts diagram. These are easy as pie to work on. Bearing numbers are in the bearings. These are great units. Good score.

I’m a Milwaukee distributor. We send tools into Milwaukee weekly. If they ask for proof of purchase, which they are starting to more often to us, they will deny it. You’ve gotten lucky.

Amazon is not a Milwaukee authorized distributor. Authorized Milwaukee distributors are not allowed to sell on/through Amazon as well. If you have an issue, you will have to submit a proof of purchase. Your warranty will not be honored by Milwaukee if purchased through Amazon.

I feel like you owe me $14 for sucking me into this thread. Return it and save for a great level. The money spent is worth it. $14 levels are merely straight edges. I beam levels are (for the most part) junk. If you can flex it, how can you expect it to be accurate?

First, I bet you cant get the base you need so you would need to "fix" that. Bearings, etc are easy, but remember everything else is 25yrs old. Little things break when you start working on this old stuff. In the construction industry, the only guys that use corded circ saws are using them...
