Metric vs. SAE Std tool use

I voted 50/50 but only because I am an Aircraft Mechanic. Our planes are 100% SAE. Most of my at home projects are related to Toyotas, hence the metric.

    Help locating Husky tool set

I should have specified...I've physically checked my local stores, searched the husky/HD website and tried generic google searches. I've found large clamshell sets but nothing like my current set. Originally I think I remember it being sold in a cardboard box.

    Help locating Husky tool set

I purchased this Husky set in 2005 and would love to buy another one but I've been unable to source one. It was a 300ish piece set with 4 trays. 2 trays of sockets, 1 tray of nutdrivers, 1 tray of SAE and metric wrenches, etc... They are the Husky PRO in black chrome. Has anyone seen this set...

    Toolbox- Mac, Matco, Snap On

You are right BUT there is never a better deal than the student discount. I started as an A&P with a Matco 2 bay ProFormance (4S) and it was a great box. Super solid and built well with a nice finish. I would absolutely buy the Matco. Are you sure you can't get the triple bay? Regardless...

Jump Start Pack JNC vs. JNC

I have the JNC660. I also have an older 7.3 F350 and a couple of newer Toyotas. I've been happy with the 660 and while a set of quality cables and spare battery may be more versatile it is certainly not more convenient than the fully self contained jump packs. I got my 660 off amazon for...

Correct, they are both Candy apple red. I would like to see absolute red shot on a box.

Slip joint pliers vs water pump pliers(knipex)

IMO, there is no reason to spend money on traditional slip joint pliers. The Knipex Cobra's have been flawless for me. I use them for everything; plumbing, automotive, fabrication and aviation. I find the slip joints to be cumbersome and I have never used a pair that have the quality fit and...

    Which Snap-on Toolbox Color?

I really like that color. Is it Berry or Candy Apple Red? Do you have a paint code?

The other Epiq is a 60". I realized I needed the extra length and 2 deeper (4") drawers opposed to the 4 shallow (2") drawers. $3,500 is a great deal depending on the size and top.

Looking for brush-on moly dry film lube

I use the Dow Molykote 321R aerosol. I spray it in a cup and use a foam brush to apply. It's not what you are asking for but it beats $60.00.

    KRL vs. Epiq

Something else to consider, if it is individual drawers you are after...the 1023 is the way to go. I have a bunch of air and cordless tools that necessitate the deeper drawers. If I was working out of my garage and had shelves or cabinets to keep my consumables in, I would probably go with the...
