Was it item not recieved? or not as described? If item not recieved and no communication from seller 10 days from claim and you get your money back. Buyer protection. If seller provides tracking info. etc. and responds with their side of story, its paypals decision. My guess at least 2 years...

If they could only recover some of the money, they would try again in 5 days to get the rest. If they were only able to swipe say 50 bucks from his account, thats all that you would have gotten. In 5 days they would try again to get the rest....you only get refunded for the amount they can...
