    4 post lift prices.

Bought my Advantage 3-4months ago, agree with others, don't wait and just buy it.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Well, apparently old tires also do not like this Texas heat. She just came out of storage and knew not to drive it until I get tires. Tire just let loose on the lift while I was grabbing something out of the beer fridge. I had not touched the car in 5days prior . Went from storage to the...

Updated: Had my Advantage Lift installed, I think there is too much cable slack when lowered on the locks..

All he did was cable adjustment on all 4 corners, seemed to do the trick for me.

    Hilarious Lift quote....

I'll chime in on my decision to have it professionally installed. I knew going in I am fully capable of self-assembly, but my car trailer is out of state, not a big deal 2days drive (think fuel there and back 3-4 tanks and a weekend lost) and it would take me 2-3 days to install start to finish...

    Hilarious Lift quote....

I'd call Advantage Lift, they have many installers on the East Coast and their lift is twice the quality as the Tuxedo and ALI Certified.

Exactly what these guys said, there is cable adjustment only. The floor is only slightly sloped, so I'll have to shime if I want it perfect. The Lack of adjustment is my trade off for having boxed posts which I was willing to take. Appreciate all the input in this thread, fellas.

Updated: Had my Advantage Lift installed, I think there is too much cable slack when lowered on the locks..

Here's an quick update, had the installer come out and made adjustments to the cables. We got it as close to level as possible (sloped garage floor) and now little to no sag when rested on the locks.

I have yet to have the time to load a car/Jeep on lift. Advantage stated the slack will be reduced when loaded.

    4 post lift size requirements

I cannot speak for Bendpak but I know many 4post manufacturers do not require anchoring. Part of ALI certification requires the ability to anchor the lift in earthquake prone areas, which likely explains the holes but not a requirement on some lifts.

4 post lift - Sized to garage

I was in a similar situation, 3 car garage with (1) 2-car stall and (1) single car stall with no wall separating the stalls. The single stall dimension is 200" L/160"W/215"H. I had the dilemma of deciding between smaller and having more room vs larger with more lifting compacity. I ended up...

Here's the difference in lock height when back makes contact vs the front. When front is fully rested on locks is when I get the sag.

I appreciate it guys, this is my first 4post. I grew up in my father's 3,000sq/ft speed shop with a commercial 2-post, so between the 4post and now a 3 car garage there is a learning curve. :D

Updated: Had my Advantage Lift installed, I think there is too much cable slack when lowered on the locks..

OK just got off the phone with Advantage, everything I described he said was normal. He said there will be slack when rested on the locks and being sloped one side contacting before the other also creates a little extra slack which is also complely normal.

My floors are very slightly sloped, didn't even noticed the slope until yesterday. If Iowered to rear is just completely rested on lock the front has 1-2mm left to go. When front in flush is when I begin to get slack.

Third party who installs and sells/installs another brand lift. Advantage only has installers on the east coast and they are not cheap FYI.

Yeah all 4 snap in simultaneously, and slack is drawn in some when lift motor is bumped.

I just had my DX9000 installed by professional installers and I think there is too much slack when lowered on the locks. I asked installers about that and they said that was normal, but I question if others with an Advantage lift has the same issue? Also when on the locks the two rear column...
