I just replaced a single incandescent bulb with a dual 4' T8 fixture with 5000k bulbs from Lowes and it is completely worth the money. Fixture and two bulbs were about $35, but the garage is now usable! I would highly recommend bulbs in the 5000k range.

What type of temperature gains have you guys seen from insulating your inner garage doors? What about noise reduction? And how did you seal up the sides and top of your garage door akjason?

Did you ever settle on a solution isaac338? I'm looking to add some insulation to my garage door as well, probably 1.5" foam, but I want to see how it turns out for other people, find out what the heat gain/retention is, and go from there.

Re: What did you do to your garage today? The brackets weren't adjustable, but there was a catch that puts pressure on the top panel and pushes it against the frame/weatherstripping. It's not perfectly sealed, but it is MUCH better than the 3/4" gap that was there. Thanks for the info...
