No, they are not almost equal to most other 18 volt tools. They are however, very very good and powerful tools.

Does anybody have one of these saws? You can cut through a 12" beam I guess, and they have models that fit your sidewinder circ saw and also your worm drive...for well under $200 bucks I'm looking at getting one...

I felt the same way and for certain things I still do. I hate a spade bit in my impact driver, seems like it chews up the workpiece way more than a drill would, especially if that workpiece is wet lumber. Hardwood doesn't seem to mind. But for building structures where cosmetics is not crucial...
