    SK combination wrench question

6 point 12 points doesn't matter if it ratchets, you don't have to take it off and put it on. If anything 6 point is stronger. Sometimes a 6 point won't go over a worn fastener and a 12 would. That's the sole advantage. The reversing mechanism will be very strong. Besides, you shouldn't be...

Exactly. I don't see how it could be any better. They've tackled everything. Wait, I take that back. It could be longer;...but that's about it.

What kind of saw to get for framing?

I must have missed the part where someone suggested a panel saw. The one post suggesting a tabelsaw was actually very much warranted, as he pointed out the OP is using mostly reclaimed lumber which May need to be resawn. Can't do that with a circ saw. I wouldn't have suggested a table saw but I...

Sorry for the vague question... They both make track saws, jigsaws, drills, sanders, etc. I Was wondering what brand a pro in Germany would go for first, if money was not an issue? I guess in my mind I think Mafell is a lot better. I have seen a mafell orbital sander in a shop here where I live...

What kind of saw to get for framing?

This is exactly how you effectively and safely use a saw. Good stance and PPE in use.

What kind of saw to get for framing?

Lol. What I meant was this is 101. Didn't think it should be considered a trick. Sticking a carpenter's pencil in your blade guard is a trick, or using your finger as a depth rod when freehanding a straight pencil line...but not using a square as a guide...but, I could be wrong. Just my opinion...

What kind of saw to get for framing?

That is it right there ^^ Set up a few sets of horses since its a huge space. Get a 7 1/4 circular saw. If you have plenty of outlets get a corded one. If you have no power, Milwaukee makes a 7 1/4 circular saw that's supposed to be real good. Get a few batteries. When using the saw horses...

Monte, What do you and your fellow countrymen feel about Mafell tools? Does it sit on the pedestal above festool? A timberframer in my area has been using Mafell since the 1980's, but I see they all have tools for the carpenter, which look to be better than festool...

No, they are not almost equal to most other 18 volt tools. They are however, very very good and powerful tools.

    Prazi beam cutter

Does anybody have one of these saws? You can cut through a 12" beam I guess, and they have models that fit your sidewinder circ saw and also your worm drive...for well under $200 bucks I'm looking at getting one...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I felt the same way and for certain things I still do. I hate a spade bit in my impact driver, seems like it chews up the workpiece way more than a drill would, especially if that workpiece is wet lumber. Hardwood doesn't seem to mind. But for building structures where cosmetics is not crucial...
