Best home use 3-piece nail gun kit??

For finish mailers, just go with whoever has the best deal. I've used ridgid, bostitch, porter cable, and hitachi. They all work well and last seemingly forever. Once you get into coil guns and framing guns, the brand differences start to show up.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

The surge operates more like a cordless drill when you want it to. Variable speed trigger. You have more ability to finesse when needed. It also has the power to run 6" ledger loks into solid framing. I would use the M12 for everything except 3" deck screws and up. And it never had a...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I'm a remodeling contractor and bought the surge a couple or three months ago. As was mentioned, I usually used my M12 Impact for 90% of the time. I have an M18 Impact, and it only got used for the jobs the M12 just couldn't do. After I bought the surge I forgot about the M12 impact. I...

It's cool to see things from a different viewpoint. There seems to be a lot of mechanics on here, and lots of talk about the cordless...

Can you smell the acetate-handle odor?

Glad to know I'm not crazy. I've noticed my clear/red/blue Craftsman screwdrivers have a stinky Body Odor essence, since the mid 80s when I first stole my Dad's tools. Nobody else in my family can smell it. I finally replaced most of them with newer drivers, but still have the old ones in a...

Show us your cool, "old" drill press

The header at the top of the page says to introduce myself on the "introduction" forum, but I can't find that for the life of me. So, I'll just start out with a pic of my old Drill Press.
