    Broke a couple phillips bits

Could have been both factors, cheap bit and too much torque. I have broken a few porter-cable brand bits this year while fixing up the house. I emailed the company and they sent me a replacement set and the same thing happened, broken bits. I now have some Bosch brand bits, so I'll see how those...

17 Feet or 22 Feet Multi-Purpose Ladder? Black Friday

I have a Werner MT-22 and it's a great, versatile, tool... Being able to adjust the height is extremely useful. The only downfall is it's ******** heavy! I just got a 4ft Werner fiberglass ladder this morning for $20 at Lowes for the times a short ladder is needed.

    Home central AC not working!

I changed the capacitor and it is now working. I am going to do some research regarding the fan motor and change that if I need to. This house has been challenging this year as we bought it as a foreclosure and it was neglected for years. I have done all kinds of DIY fixes, but the AC is...

    Home central AC not working!

Thanks Tommy, I appreciate the offer. I am in Hackettstown, not too far. I am going to order a replacement capacitor for it and hopefully that will fix the problem for now. After doing some research, I think this unit is over 10 yrs old and will need to be replaced, hopefully it will hold out...

    Home central AC not working!

Thanks for the replies. I spun the fan and it turned without any issue. I then turned on the unit to see if the fan and the compressor would start. They are both working! Blowing cold air too! Very strange to see the fan not running earlier and now it is. Hopefully that was a one time...

    Home central AC not working!

Got up this morning, took care of the lawns and came inside the house and it didn't seem as cool as it should be. I went outside as I could hear the AC unit running. I noticed the fan wasn't spinning, but I could hear a motor running. I immediately shut the AC unit off and now I wondering...

    Residential garage lighting help..

The layout looks good to me. It all depends on how you plan on using the garage. The only issue I can see is if the garage doors are open, the lights above them would be somewhat blocked. Nice garage!

Pull chain light - change to motion sensor

If the lights you are installing, which you referenced, have a wall switch, couldn't you change the wall switch to one with a motion sensor? Just a thought and you wouldn't need to cut any more drywall, just replace the switch.

    CPO Outlet Factory Reconditioned Sale

I bought a couple of Bosch power tools from CPO at the beginning of the year, a circular saw and an oscillating tool, both looked brand new and functioned perfectly. The saw came with a brand new blade and carry bag. The oscillating tool came with the blade holder and some extra blades along...
