    Anybody else paint case markings?

Drives me crazy trying to see the the socket or case markings, so I use my daughters paint markers. I do get impatient / bored and run through with less precision than optimal 😀

    (re-)Discovering T-handles

Surprisingly, one of my most used tools ... husky ratcheting t handle. It was an HD clearance blowout. Ratchet makes RTA furniture (ikea stuff for daughter in college, Adirondack chairs, etc) assembly fast but with feel to not blow through it. I keep looking at upgrading to pbswiss, beta, etc...

    Basement - How attach wall?

Floor ... ramset Ceiling / top of wall ... that’s what I was asking. I think @JohnX14 suggestion is the plan.

    Basement - How attach wall?

Wall will run between concrete wall and floor joist. 1/2” off insulation board. Basically centered between floor joist and rim joist.

    Basement - How attach wall?

Hi All. Finishing basement and plan to have open ceiling (painted black). Adding the walls on the exterior: below wall will run parallel to floor joists and miss the joist so I need to determine how to attach at “ceiling”. It’s 8” off the rim joint or so. I’m tempted to nail a 2x4 to rim...

    What’s your favorite snow shovel?

Agree ... that’s a trunk shovel to dig out of ditch

    What’s your favorite snow shovel?

    1. I have a pusher for lesser snow falls ... it’s close to as fast as snowblower for lesser snow falls. Hindsight, a 36” would be even better. 2. Snowblower for bigger + simple sun cast scooper for steps / deck

    (re-)Discovering T-handles

I only use my t-handles for dirt bikes / motorcycles ... and mostly on plastics, fork/wheels, and cockpit. There’s always enough room and ergonomically a thandle feels good. I don’t think that’d be be the case for general maintenance on a car? Engine building, where there’s lots of room, I...

Show me (And discuss) your toolbox organizers...

Just curious, Do you use heat shrink enough to justify drawer space? Mine goes in a cabinet and pulled out the 2-5x/yr when I need it.

    Taiwan hand tool brands?

I contacted toptul ... no Taipei stores any longer: “I regret there is no TOPTUL store in Taipei now. Now, we do have a store in Taichung. If you also have a plan to go to Taichung, it must be great if you can also arrange a short trip to the store in Taichung.”

Why is Sump pump backup running nonstop

Pump is a combo and I believe a single check valve (as part of system). Main pump is clearing fine. I may look deeper on this tho.

    Best tool drawer liner material?

I just looked at Walmart.com. Many Yoga mats are showing 5mm thick. One showed 3/4”(hard to believe!) Edit: measured 2 from basement Cheapo kids yoga mat: 4-5mm with lots of compression Lululemon yoga mat: 5mm with less Compression but do your whole box and liners would be $$$ vs a snapon epic 😂

    Best tool drawer liner material?

I do like it, but admittedly, no real use yet. It looks good and feels good. It’s feels like high quality foam. Good density and way denser than the “elementary school craft foam” liners that came with the HF44 box 20 years ago. It’s 2.1mm thick.
