    Tekton news (to me)

I'm in for the 1/4" "long" bit sockets as well (at least the torx). I have plenty of of 6" long bit sockets ( and 1" - 2"). I also have the mid length GearWrench 3/8" drive hex. For me what these offer is not so much a "long" but a mid length, since they are about 3" long. Seth

    Flush Cut Diagonal Pliers

Do you mean truly flush cut? Because a lot of the ones I see recommended as flush are not. I have only found true flush cut available for plastics or very soft small gauge wire. Wish they existed. Seth

    The Track Saw Discussion . . .

True there are several types of sleeve material that will work. I tried one of them ( Gorilla Sleeve ) before the newer type of Festool hose came out. It was OK I still found that the little expanded openings would snag sometimes. You can also run the cord through the same piece of sleeving...

Largest / Longest Tongue & Groove Pliers

I have the Cobra 560 XXL. Massive. The Knipex Cobra XXL should help with the "squeeze" if using them in the right direction. Not sure what your are turning but the cobras will really bite as well and should help with the slipping. Seth

    Knipex TwinGrip new sizes: 150mm & 250mm

Just got the 250 Twin Grip. Very nice but one disappointing aspect is that the in line grip / jaw is actually much smaller than on the 200 size. I guess that might be to leave more metal thickness for strength, since the pliers are longer and more force might be applied? Just a guess. The...

Why did Snap on cancel the Hard Handle…?

Is the hard handle being dropped on everything or just a particular ratchet? Seth

    General Snow Blower Questions

If it was me (just based on the ads) I'd go for that Ariens. Has good HP to width ratio. Looks in good shape. Electric start is a plus. And I bet that you could resell and get all your $ back if you don't like it. Seth

    General Snow Blower Questions

I had a walk behind with tracks. I never used one with wheels. I did not really think the tracks did all that much. But I can't compare. It did seem that sometimes the tracks may have been a detriment due to better floatation, ie ; not concentrating the weight for traction. The tracks make...

Just found this topic. If moderators want to merge that's fine with me. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/snap-on-fz1-connector.244493/ Seth

Those little 90 extension adapter / connectors ..................

I think these were posted in at least one other topic and there were many trying to think of use cases etc. I bought them a few months ago with the idea that maybe something will come up. But also thinking that I might never use them. Well, something came up............. I am installing some...

    Fuel line pliers?

Yeah, probably the seller has it wrong. I just happened to notice that the "HM" font / lettering is exactly the same as the OP's pliers. Seth

    Fuel line pliers?

I think it might be Honda Motors based on this ebay listing. Different pliers but the lettering font is the same. Assuming the seller is correct. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174233027214?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&srsltid=AfmBOooUnppEvUXDfvmoAz1tGMGUwiRcH9sV_YkX0VVVJFg8ZjDZzQdFUk4 Seth

    Opinions on this benchtop planer?

The Delta 22-590x ($599) that you linked to is the same price as the DW735 from what I can find with searches. The Kobalt is $100 less. Personally I get the DW735 for $599 over the Delta or the Kobalt for $499. I have the DW735 it is very good. I have put quite a lot through it for quite a few...

Snap on full size vs mini pick set

Here's the SO page you want for the types, names , and numbers for the full size handles. There are two sets, one all same length and one that has two regular length and two extra long. And also all the separates. https://shop.snapon.com/categories/682409 Seth

Suggest a pistol grip blow gun that will last more than a year.

The Flexzilla / Ares have screw on attachments and a linear / variable trigger. There are two models, I can only speak for the X3 which is the nicer one. They are very similar looking. X3 has the hanging hook that turns down towards the trigger. Seth

    Husky Service Cart!

I checked that out a few weeks ago. Seems nicely built. The matte black makes scratches easy to fix with spray paint. HD site has the dimensions of all the drawers and such listed under "Product Details". Top till is 4 1/2" deep. Seth

    Proto torque adapters

I got the Sunex set. They seem fine. But compared to the Proto, the proto are nicer. Also the Proto have an offset on one side and are flush on the other. I was just hoping that Proto did or does make a metric set and that I just wasn't able to find it. Looks like I will just stick with...

    Tekton Tools Praise Thread

I asked Tekton about the difference between the clearance and non-clearance screwdrivers . This is what they said ................. Thanks for writing in, the tips on the slotted screwdrivers are a slightly different design, otherwise they are just configurations we no longer offer. There is no...

I see that a lot (all? ) of the black rubbery handled screwdrivers have been added to the clearance listings on the Tekton site. I wonder what will be changing? Seth
