I think these were posted in at least one other topic and there were many trying to think of use cases etc. I bought them a few months ago with the idea that maybe something will come up. But also thinking that I might never use them. Well, something came up.............

I am installing some custom mounts for a rack on my truck. Drilled a hole near the stake pocket to put a bolt through from the top side assuming I could just reach under through the pocket to start the nut. Realized after the fact that I couldn't. Those 90 degree connectors turned a problem into no problem. Used this to hold the nut in place and turned the bolt from the top.

Anyone else used these?

Just found this topic. If moderators want to merge that's fine with me.

^ also made by a German manufacturer. (I believe I saw them in a Heyco catalog) Inquiry sent to KC Tool in Kansas City - hopefully they'll get back to me soon.

I have the 1/4 and 3/8. They get used once a year.
For what?
Aside the configuration* shown in the OP's second photo. I can't concieve a scenario where a breaker bar couldn't do same.
* this presumes no access otherwise. What happens to the tools when this rig comes apart?
Am I missing something?

A major use is a crowfoot, connect this and then use an extension or even a wobble extension as your handle. A breaker bar has a fixed handle length, I can use a 2" extension or 12". Sometimes stuff like the OP picture is the only way to break something free, but not the only way to touch it. So I can break it free with that abomination, then remove/install with my fingers. You can also use this to make a bend in between two extension to bypass an obstruction that would prevent a straight shot.

It's a rarely used tool.

Well I'll be. I've never seen those in my life.

My first inclination is to make rude sculptures with Mr. and Mrs. Robot.

I have the 3/8 set, but I'm still waiting for the day when they will be just the ticket.

I've had them for a long time now. Once a year sounds about right.

I remember using mine with a torque adaptor to torque something in a stupid spot.
