I once heard someone refer to small springs as being 'concrete soluble'. Once they hit the garage floor they are gone forever. Just like Gregster, I end up replacing a few 10mm 3/8 drive sockets a year, lol.

If I was local to the sales, you can be sure that I'd be picking up a pallet lot of tools from them. There's actually a seller on eBay who buys pallet-loads of tools from Boeing, and sells them off via eBay. There was a lot of ~100+ c-clamps, I would have loved to get that, take what I need, and...

I had the opportunity to grab one of those, and I am kicking myself for not picking it up. I'd get it, as it's bound to be exponentially better than the average Harbor Freight hoist.

Be very careful welding Galvanized pipe. You need to completely remove the galvanized coating before welding, as the zinc fumes can be deadly.
