    Dr V's Garage Build

I had a local pole building company do it. It took them about 3 days. Had a local company insulate for the price of materials at Lowes/HD. Saved me some long itchy hours. I'm finishing the inside walls/electrical and the rest. Getting ready to do seal the floor right now. Just decided on today...

    Removing tire marks from concrete?

The floor is still drying, It seems the marks went away maybe 70%. Some are darker than others. Where they didn't move the lift and just turned the wheels made the worse marks. Other areas it was just on the move making lighter tracks. I may try another round of spot scrubbing with krud kutter...

Anybody down there? The business end of the seepage pit. A cement manhole cover tops this part so it can be cleaned out of needed. Supplies arrive.. The posts are glulams, 3 2x6's glued together. Bottoms are pressure treated individually for better penetration and laminated together...

    Dr V's Garage Build

A nice red maple tree, too bad it was in the way. I promised to replant its offspring next year. Waste not want not, the tree is now firewood and chips for mulch! Dirt is flyin' ... The pile to the right is all topsoil, which will be placed back on top after the building is up. All the dirt...

    Dr V's Garage Build

I've always wanted to do a build thread, as I've learned so much from others. I finally decided to do some pic upload tests and decided to start. This building was built in July 2006 and I'm currently on the floors & far wall. But I'll post pics in chronological order ever so often until I catch...

    Removing tire marks from concrete?

Well I tried a test on 3 different spots with 3 different cleaners. I applied, scrubbed in with a stiff bristled broom, pressure washed off after an hour. 1. Krud Kutter - full strength gel. Worked the best, maybe even 100%. I need to recheck after the water drys. 2. Orange Blast - Also seemed...

    Removing tire marks from concrete?

Seems like an extreme measure just to get rid of some rubber marks. I have 2400 sq ft, so any kind of blasting would not be cheap. I planned to put down a methyl methacrylate solvent based sealer, which is clear. I thought about epoxy and urethane but costs vs. uncertainty of its longevity...

    Removing tire marks from concrete?

Does anyone have any suggestions for removing tire marks from bare concrete? I tried my 2800psi pressure washer yesterday and it did nothing. Actually it would chip the concrete before removing any marks. I bought some Krud Kutter from Lowes today, I'm going to put some on full strength and...

    Wood burning stove insert question

No chance... I love the rolling hills and changing seasons here in central pa! Actually I have propane... which is a refined component of natural gas. I dunno geographically where its coming from. I just bought this house not long ago, and it still had the original oil boiler from '78...

    Wood burning stove insert question

I have a Kodiak 1700 insert and LOVE IT! The gas co. HATES it. Its made in Canada, where they know a little bit about the cold. 74,000 BTUs and 75% effiecient. Thought I'd like a pellet stove, but last year the stores ran out of pellets, but nature keeps making logs! It looks more natural...

    The BEST Hand Soap?

A box of 100 latex gloves from Harbor Freight for $7 is a great way to avoid having to use anything harsh on your hands. Yeah, i go through a couple sets when i do a job, but they are so cheap who cares. Its nice to have a stack of baby wipes in the garage as well. Other than that I use...
